voor mijn doel prima gelegen , prachtige omgeving, In een prachtig park . Aan de andere kant een beetje vergane glorie. Kan nog net stand houden

Nice building
The hotel is a nice building, but has some improvements to make inside. The rooms are dated, there was no Wifi in our room, and no ac, in the summer time it will get very hot in the room, because you could feel it now, and it's like 16 degrees out. the staff was very nice and helpful, the rooms are to be cleaned better, for there was blood on the wall next to the sink. And that's unaceptable to me.

Relaxing weekend in lovely country house
Reception upon arrival was very welcoming. Also nice room with fireplace for drinks. Good spa facilities with warm pool. Food was good. Can also recommend half-board arrangements. The hall offers good value for money. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and we can recommend the hall hotel.

Outrageous closure with no warning.
We didn’t stay - after a 350 mile drive we arrived to find it very firmly closed. Ironic you send this questionnaire after your reservations person (based, unhelpful,y, in Arizona) spent over an hour and a half on the day getting us alternative accommodation.

Grand but tired
Lovely grand old building. We had the room overlooking the drive. It was small and quaint; they made good use of an odd space in that there was even a bath. The swimming pool was tired and in need of a facelift but fine for a few lengths before popping in the steam room.

I received fantastic service throughout my stay. The bed matress was old and needs replacing. Food was excellent.

Nothing unique - would have been nice to have some nicer cups in rooms - I know it’s a small thing but small catering cups are horrible - why not some nice pottery mugs?

It was a lovely traditional property and felt very cosy and festive at this time of year. It’s very old fashioned decor but that fits with the period of the property. Some sealant in the bathroom was coming away but other than that the room was spacious, comfortable and had everything you needed. The breakfast was good and it was very good value for money.

Lovely old hotel
This is a nice old hotel with comfy but slightly dated rooms. The bar area is nice, there rooms have an armchair was well as a desk chair. Breakfast is a well stocked buffet with excellent service. I would happily stay there again.

Several issues ,the room was away from the main building in adverse weather (wind and rain )this was uncomfortable , other problems included 2 failed lights ,which were repaired within a short time but the persistent sticking front door was not corrected , not sure that this all (room location and room faults )were as a result of getting a cheap deal , the hotel did not seem fully occupied .

Beautiful Hotel
Absolutely fabulous place stunning hotel we had a very large bedroom with a large comfortable bed. All the staff were very smartly dressed and very friendly we would stay again if we going to Lincoln.

Lovely location and food, but freezing cold room
For an old hotel, you expect some character, but I felt that this hotel was a bit past it. The room I was in was freezing cold. I was offered a heater, but the radiator never came on, despite being told it would come on between certain times. The food was fabulous though - the absolute best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. The bar area, with its roaring fire, is a good space, although the fire ran out of fuel with none to replace it and went out before we got there on the one evening we decided to sit beside it. A good selection of whiskies was a good thing. Overall though, the tired old freezing cold room means that I won’t be back.

Great "out of lincoln" retreat. Amazing building, complete with creaky floors etc. Having been for a couple of years, shame the jacuzzi has gone from the pool area.

Weekend Retreat
A former stately home with lots of character and very helpful and friendly staff. The grounds are exceptional and great for taking a stroll by the river. We’ve stayed a few times when visiting family in the area and will certainly do do again.

Lovely hotel for a weekend romantic break
The staff are friendly and helpful. We did have a small room but after asking for a different room we were given a much more spacious room in the Courtyard which was very clean, warm and comfortable. Biggest disappointment was the choice of foods at breakfast. The cooked breakfast was ok but the cold choices were very limited. Overall it’s good value for money. Beware the dinner menu could cost you more than average but you do have the option to upgrade to dinner deal. The food in the evening was very well presented and service was very friendly.
