  • Cantinho da Amália (Amália's Corner) is hoe noemen we ons appartement, omdat het ligt op een paar meter van de geboorteplaats van de wereldberoemde fadozangeres Amália Rodrigues. Gelegen op de 4e verdieping en de zolder van het gebouw heeft een prachtige natuurlijke lichtinval gedurende de dag en een prachtig uitzicht op het kasteel van São Jorge. Het hele gebouw werd volledig gerenoveerd in 2009 en het appartement biedt het moderne comfort van centrale verwarming en airconditioning, maar het bijhouden van de romantische sfeer van de schuine plafonds. Het comfort van de badkamer, de functionaliteit van de keuken en materieel (nieuw), gecombineerd met zijn eigentijdse en smaakvolle inrichting maakt dit vlak uiterst comfortabel. Het appartement is geschikt voor 3 personen.

Wonderful location. Spectacular views. Cute, well appointed apartment. It is a 4 story walk up but your view is the reward. This unit seemed nicer than the other floors. Neighbourhood mixed but not bad. Overall, great stay!

With a central location, great view of the castle, and a clean comfortable bed, we would recommend this place to anyone who is capable of walking up 4 flights of stairs. but be aware, in Europe, the stairs are narrower and much steeper than in North America.

We had the perfect stay. Great location, lots of space to move around and stunning view of the city. Miguel was very fast to respond to my inquiries. Highly recommend staying here and I would stay here again on my next visit.

The host was very welcoming. The place has a great view! It’s got the essential amenities you need. You need to take the stairs to get to the unit but it’s worth it for the views. The place is spacious for 2 people. Also, the location is great for city centre. The host was very prompt in answering questions and providing resolutions when needed. I would recommend this place when travelling to Lisbon

Amazing Stay in the Heart of Lisbon

We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO in Lisbon, Portugal! The location was ideal—just a short walk to great shopping, delicious restaurants, and some of the city’s best sightseeing spots. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and our host was incredibly accommodating and thoughtful. The apartment was very clean and offered an amazing view of the city skyline. We truly enjoyed our time here and would gladly stay again on our next trip to Lisbon!

Comfortable apartment with great views

The apartment is very comfortable. We were greeted at check in and given some good information. As the other reviews attest, the good views come with a steep hill and steep stairs!

Perfect location, great views!!

This was our first trip to Lisbon and it couldn’t have been better. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the main historic squares. We felt we were living with the locals. Just like everywhere else in the city worth visiting be prepared to walk uphill then four flights of steps at the end so probably not for some, but worth it. The views are spectacular.

Good, basic accommodation. Owner was friendly and responsive. Location is excellent, very central. Lovely view of the city. As previously noted, the stairs and hills would be an issue for anyone with mobility problems. The only downside was that I had to buy all basic food supplies including sugar, salt and pepper...

Good for a couple

This apartment was an affordable, no frills, but convenient place-metro, tram, and train very close by. António was very easy to communicate with. It is located up a hill, and on the fourth floor, so be prepared for that-we enjoyed the exercise but this won’t work for everyone. Craft beer bar about 50 feet from the door so that was always a good spot to visit.

Lisbonne dans le cartier de Mouraria

Nous avons séjourné 3 jours dans le logement qui est confortable. Comme le logement n’était pas prêt malgré notre arrivée tardive, nous ne pouvons pas donner une note parfaite pour l’acceuil car cela ne serait pas équitable. La personne responsable a cependant fait les efforts pour rectifier la situation. Le logement est confortable et permet une vue superbe sur le quartier de Garcia.Cependant, l’accès au logement requiert une marche en pente raide et 50 marches pour accéder au logement par la suite. Ce détail est à considérer si vous avez des limitations physiques.

Nice apartment, but...

The apartment was a nice size, very bright, good views, good washer/dryer, very comfortable bed and nice shower pressure. Unfortunately, the neighborhood was extremely disappointing - rundown and lacking of any amenities. The stairs to the apartment (particularly after the long trek up the hill to the building), were ridiculously steep and narrow and dissuaded us from wanting to go there more than once a day (and we're healthy, in shape adults). Our biggest issue was that we were told that we could not put any toilet tissue in the toilet but had to use the small trash can in the bathroom. Not only was this extremely off-putting, but we felt it was very unsanitary. I can understand not putting tampons, tissues, baby wipes, but toilet paper! That set a very negative tone for our stay.

Goed appartement, mooi en verzorgd. Mooi uitzicht maar je moet er wel iets voor over hebben, de trappen maken het net iets minder geschikt voor een 75 plusser.

Nice appartment, close to centre

The appartment is nice and comfortable, nice view to monistary and castle. There is everything you need and a nice stay for 2 adults and 2 children ( a little small for 4 adults ). Up hill, steep stairs to the 4e floor. Close to the center, shops and restaurants. Nearby a lot of small restaurants for a cheap price. A good restaurant for fish is Solar 31, just 300 meters distance. This appartment is in the center of Lisbon but very quiet neighbourhood. Good bed. Antonio our host was very kind and helpfull, he picked us up from the airport and explained a lot about the appartment and Lisbon. Thank you Antonio for this nice stay at your appartment, we will recommend our friends.

All in all wonderful

The location is perfect, we did most of the sightseeing by foot. View from the appartment is simply stunning, please be aware that for this you do have to climb (and get down!) steep stairs. Internet connection was awesome. ;) The only issue we had is concerning cleanliness but this was resolved after addressing it. All.in all a great spot to stay for a not too busy week in Lisbon.

Perfect

António is a perfect host and his apartment in fact a gem. The flat is not huge, but provides more than enough space for two people. From the living room/kitchen you have a picturesque view over the center of the city, the apartment is clean and quiet. Everything you need - from dishes to tv, hair dryer, iron, air condition and washing machine - is in the apartment. António seems to be a perfectionist, he answers very fast when needed and is eager to solve problems quickly. So: We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful visit to Lisboa

The apartment was just as listed, very clean comfortable and centrally located. Host was very kind, let me enter early to the apt. and had many great suggestions for things to do in the area. the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was a plus after a long hot day of touring. i highly recommend this apartment for a single person or couple.
