'This is a fabulous little hotel and we were delighted with our three night stay. James and Amy are wonderful hosts who put their heart and soul into their place and nothing is too much trouble. Our room had plenty of space and the bed was very comfortable. The common areas were lovely, and the breakfast was great. An easy 20 to 30 minute stroll to town, or short drive, so a great base for all that this region has to offer.'

I liked how we could adjust the heating to our comfort. The host was very kind on the two occasions we met her. Overall, good value.'

'It was exactly what we needed for the marathon, with a big gang of us there. I think the cleanliness of the carpets could have been better by the cleaning agents that are used by the owners. The decor is dated, but the beds, sofas and chairs were comfortable…the bonus is the sauna in the basement 👌'

'Our stay was perfect all the way from the initial, warm greeting from Pattra, to the wonderful room, a lovely Thai dinner and, then, a peaceful night’s sleep and an excellent breakfast. 'This is a gem of an inn, located just a stone’s throw from the castle walls. The woman who runs it is a delight; friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and well stocked with teas and coffees and the like. The food - both dinner and breakfast - were excellent. It’s an older building so expect occasionally creaking floors (although they are carpeted) and low ceilings, but that just adds to the charm. Highly recommended if you can spend a night in Harlech. '

Its all situated in a square,like a market square surrounded by big granite hills.
We were shown to our room, was given a birthday card from the hotel chap which was a nice touch.
