Large comfortable rooms. With facilities to stay for a longer period. For both business and pleasure. Also very close to subway and railway station. Bonus is the walking distance to Westminster, Big Ben and even Buckingham Palace. A nice stay with friendly and helpful staff.

We loved the Marlin Waterloo! Everyone was super friendly and helpful, and it was in a great location within walking distance to so many landmarks. There was also an underground entrance just across the street that made everything else we wanted to see super accessible. We came for the London Marathon, and we would absolutely stay here again.

We had a decent stay and as someone who has travelled frequently, I am surprised it is considered a 4 star hotel. I would think 3 star at best. The first noticeable thing was the smell of the room. Our suite had 2 rooms and bathroom separately. There was a urine/public bathroom smell that lingered no matter if we closed the doors to each room. From a 4 star hotel you would expect the bare minimum of amenties such as disposable tooth brush/combs/razors/qtips… there were only a shower gel set (body/shampoo/conditioner). The room key cards are reused (obviously) but they were kind of dirty and sticky. The staff and service were average to below- our room did not have a phone so we would have to go downstairs to ask for things. When we would use the luggage storage service - its the small things of making you do it all yourself and not helping with our bags ( we had elderly people) The location is convenient- walkable to many attractions but it was the small things that made it 2.5/3 stars at best.

The hotel uses WhatsApp to communicate as there’s no phone in the room. However, it was a slow and inefficient process. Responses were delayed and requests were not fully fulfilled. Our double bed was uncomfortable as it was basically 2 twin matresses put together (not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel). The sofa bed mattress was sagging in various places making it also uncomfortable to sleep. Would say the quality was generally lacking.

Wonderful hotel within a nice walking distance to Big Ben and the London Eye. There is a grocery store a few shops down and the kitchenette made it easy to make our breakfast before some early morning tours. The luggage storage was also very appreciated.

We had a great time at London's Marlin Waterloo. The hotel's location was excellent -- you can see the London Eye from the hotel's front door, and a couple nights we walked from Trafalgar Square and the theater district back to the hotel. Not a short walk but not a million miles. The room wasn't huge by American standards, but it was okay for two adults and two teenagers. The hotel staff was very nice. All our family birthdays happen to fall within about ten days. The hotel staff dressed the room for a birthday surprise (balloons, card, message on the mirror, Paddington bear) for my son on arrival for a small fee. The boys then secretly asked the hotel if they would do the same thing for free, as a surprise, for my wife and my birthday a couple days later, since the boys didn't have any British spending money. The hotel did them the favor, no charge, just to be nice. There's a Pret a Manger right next door, an all night souvenir and light grocery store two doors away, and a larger grocery store next door that stays open late. One block to the Lambeth North Underground Station. Lobby was pleasant, the bar/lounge was very nice. The bathroom was also very nice and modern, and in the past we've found some British plumbing -- well, troublesome. Very well stocked kitchenette, from the coffee and French press to the fully stocked cabinets. For the price, the Marlin Waterloo was a great value. Very happy with our choice. Thanks very much to the staff.

The hotel is situated perfectly. The tube station is about 100m from the hotel and the Bakerloo line is ideal for a lot of the best spots in the city. Staff were absolutely friendly and very helpful with every question we had during our five night stay. A minor drawback were the mattresses on the double bed, as they were quite hard. Other than that, there is nothing to complain and we would happily return to the Marlin for a next visit.

Property was extremely convenient and close to attractions and amenities. There is a tube station on the same block and Waterloo tube is a short walk away. This hotel is located close to many pubs and restaurants and a short walk to Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

Positief: Netheid, personeel en service, voorzieningen en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
Lots of local restaurants and shops, as well as grocery stores. Convenient to two tube stations. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean!
