Even as a frequent business traveler I was impressed by the service in this hotel. Extremely friendly staff, truly service oriented. Hotels in London are never "cheap" but Montcalm at Brewery offers very good value for money. Will definitely come back.

Tucked into the city of London, immediately bext to the Barbican, this has been a pleasant place to stay. Checkin was speedy and the room clean, spacious and functional. The bathroom was huge with a large walk-in shower. The room quiet at night, being away from the road. The only downside is finding Nescafe sachets as a coffee substitute in the room. However, real coffee us plentiful a short walk away.

Good location and quiet area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and well equipped although some minor issues (usb socket and shower controls both didn’t work properly but were inconveniences more than problems). The problem we did have (original room smelling of cigarette smoke) was dealt with promptly and efficiently by providing us with a new (and bigger) room. Overall a pleasant stay and would return again.

This is a great location particularly since the opening of the Elizabeth Line. It’s quiet and quite residential but is only a short hop to the West End. The only drawback is that, for some reason, I was unable to charge my bar bill to my room which I could do the last time we stayed.

Comfortable & Great Service, if a little dated
The staff were great, and the service was quick. Parts of the hotel are starting to look a little dated or in need of attention. When we arrived at our room none of the sockets were working, someone arrived at our room to inspect it and was unable to resolve immediately, they returned and fixed them whilst we were out for dinner. Overall the hotel was generally clean, and staff friendly, and the building itself looks great. Bed was comfortable, and room provided all the essential amenities.

When we checked in there was no offer of breakfast or facilities within hotel. It was a ‘here is your room key’ and that was it. We discovered a used contact lense in the bed, however the bathroom was nice.

Property was absolutely lovely. The hotel staff were very attentive and nice. Only problem we had was the fire alarm was set off both nights of our stay at silly o’clock. Would definitely return in the future though.

The hotel needs some refreshments. The reception first question was have you ID . I didn’t know I was in USA. The lobby where we were sent to smells of mouldy cabbage & cooking Greese . The lift doors rattled on closing . No information about hotel at all . Had to go back to reception to find out where the breakfast room is through several doors . Not given a choice of breakfast told I had booked a continental breakfast was not given a chance to choose what I wanted in continental break fast cupboard laid out reasonably well ,toast must of been bought out of a bargain store with only one side working.Glad not to many people wanting toast . The consiage vertical wast of time . Showed to lift to our room with the smelly lobby ! Room reasonable but needs updating. In all it’s a second class hotel trying not very hard to be a first Will not be going back . Not a good experience.

Beautiful hotel great stay
Stayed here on our Anniversary as we had our Wedding here. We were upgraded to the WOW Suite where we had originally stayed for our Wedding. Our room was decorated with balloons, rose petals, fruit bowl and bubbly. They made us feel very welcome and we had a wonderful stay, much appreciated

Like the bed shower & tv. Not like. no dressing gown no toothbrush . Had to ask then did turn up. Room was very cold. Asked at reception they said would get Maintenance to look at it. Never made any difference. Broken floor tiles in bathroom. Lack of sugar milk no tea spoon. So could not stirred tea. Usb dint work to charge the phone. I paid good money for this hotel room definitely no a deluxe 5☆ room.
