Close to Soho, but in what is supposed to be a peaceful and quiet street, this five star Hotel finds it is acceptable to disturb its customers good night's rest, by playing within the premises (and casting out into the street) unnecessary loud, thumping music.

Only downside: i am VIP-gold snd should get something extra(free breakfast, room upgrade or something). Nothing was offered and that was quite disappointing. Other than that: great hotel

Het Sanderson hotel ligt op een geweldige plek. Binnen 2 minuten lopen sta je op OxfordStreet. Het hotel personeel is zeer behulpzaam en de kamer is van alle gemakken voorzien. Er was zelfs een mobiele telefoon op de kamer met internet die je zonder extra kosten mee mocht nemen naar buiten om internet te gebruiken en lokale telefoontjes te plegen. Dit hadden wij nog nooit eerder gezien in een hotel. Het hotel in zijn geheel is dus zeer aan te raden!!

Geweldig hotel, oxford street 2 min lopen
Het hotel is al een beleving opzich. Oxford street en ook new bond street selfridges is allemaal op loopafstand. Heerlijke eettentjes allemaal dichtbij het hotel. Harrods en het park kan je ook makkelijk lopend bereiken, maar dat is nog wel even lopen.

The receptionist was very rude when we arrived. We noticed that all customers arriving were being helped to their rooms but we were directed to go alone. Same thing with luggage, we hauled our luggage up ourselves but saw other customers’ luggage being delivered to their rooms on our floor. The customer service was cold and unwelcoming, we felt like we were unwelcome guests at a distant relative’s house, not in a hotel for which we reserved and paid for rooms. Unfortunate situation considering the rooms were fun and the location is great.

The door staff and concierge were lovely and so helpful that was the best bit about this stay! The hotel itself is dated and tired, in fact really grubby in places, whilst the room was of good size it was terribly basic and not at all appealing! From my “upgraded” room on the first floor the music from downstairs was unbearably loud and when I asked to move they told me I could if I paid a large extra rate for a suite. The reception lady basically didn’t care and made it clear. Even though other members of staff had said it was quiet and not much occupancy. The corridors are very dark and I assume to mask the fact that the carpets and paintwork are all pretty gross. Very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend at all.

My check-in started with a dispute over the room I had reserved. The slightly arrogant gentleman wanted to allocate a standard room…fortunately I had my Expedia confirmation for the superior room I had actually reserved. He then insisted on charging a £100 per night deposit, God only knows why ! On my second day, I returned to my room to change at 6pm, but housekeeping had not been there and my room was unattended. The ultra-modern room was cold and clinical. Check-out was fine, but I won’t be returning.

The Sanderson is an amazing hotel in the perfect location. I have stayed at the Sanderson four times now and every time is outstanding, the staff at the front desk is so friendly and so accommodating. The rooms and stunning and very spacious for London. The hotel bar is very nice. Already have my fifth stay at the Sanderson booked and will continue to stay here for as long as I have business in London!

Comfortable bed is a positive as is the location. View from a 5th floor “deluxe” room (there are only 6 floors) was dismal even on a bright sunny day. Huge bath but virtually empty bottles of shampoo and conditioner were in bath tray and no bubble bath…weird. Only one lift working and no water stair access. No mention of Expedia VIP access at checkin and given room next to the lift shaft! Not ideal but thankfully I didn’t have a need for a good nights sleep or lie in but if I had wanted that, my rating would be much much lower and I’d have complained because it was noisy to say the least
