We were in London for a few days, amoungst other things to visit the Globe and see Macbeth. The Mad Hatter proved to be an excellent hotel with very welcoming and friendly staff. And within easy walking distance to the Globe. Very recommendable!

Prettig hotel op loopafstand van centrum.
Slapen boven de pub, in nette en zeer schone kamer. Ligt vlak achter Tate Modern, met Jubilee line en Blackfriers station vlak in de buurt. Er wordt nu veel gebouwd rond het hotel, maar daarvan hebben we geen last gehad. Vriendelijk en hulpvaardig personeel. Ontbijt goed, en alternatieven zijn er evt volop in de nabijheid.

Tophotel met zeer behulpvaardige staf
Werkelijk geweldige service! Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame staf. Mooie en ruime kamer, waar amper omgevingsgeluid was te horen. Dit ondanks bouwplaatsen rondom het hotel. Gezellige, sfeervolle en ruime pub/restaurant beneden met zeer goede keuken. Op alle fronten een topper! Wel was de matras wat aan de zachte kant voor mij, maar dat is dan ook het enige waar ik iets over op te merken heb. Bij de receptie hadden ze zelfs stroomadapters voor de gasten liggen. En ik heb nog nooit eerder zulke dikke en zware badhanddoeken in een hotel gehad.

Pleasant room and reception staff, nice selection for breakfast. But room was unbearably hot and stuffy, with no air conditioning. Was ok during the day with the window open, but due to traffic outside could not keep windows open so very hot.

The hotel is unique and quaint. Comfortable, well-appointed rooms without street noise. A really delicious breakfast is included, with lots of options. The attached pub is great too.

Great for an evening in London
Great location for an evening with friends. Hotel was quirky, bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable, lots of hot water. Downside, although mainly clean, it looked like the cleaner hadn’t finished as the toilet and sink both needed attention. In the restaurant, food and drink options were good, food was tasty and hot. Service was great, but couldn’t get a coffee after 9:30pm. Guessing this was because the kitchen had closed? Check in and out was simple, and we were able to leave our bags behind the counter to go exploring once we had checked out, a real bonus. Overall a great stay, would return.

Excellent 2 night show break
To stay at the Mad Hatter Hotel is an experience. From seeing various pictures of Alice in Wonderland around the building to having a magnificent breakfast, with terrific customer service, together with a clean comfortable room was superb. It’s location is good for reaching central London as well as train and bus routes close by to reach those outer suburbs. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect location nearthe river with many major attractions within walking distance. Nice decor in the room with a good range of toiletries and great selection of teas and coffees, not to mention the goodies in the fridge. And the breakfast was excellent.

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt in dem Hotel. Vielleicht sind die Zimmer zur Straße nicht so ruhig aber wir konnten dennoch gut schlafen da die Betten sehr gut waren. Auch Tee und Kaffee konnte man sich auf dem Zimmer machen und es gab wirklich große Handtücher und ein tolles Frühstück

Wonderful!
Had a very comfortable stay! Room was spacious enough for London. The location is great, very close to tube. Their lift was out of service the day we arrived but it was fixed soon after. People at the front desk and the bar area (where breakfast is served) are very helpful! Special thanks to Luke for helping carry our luggage up to our room. The breakfast was good, they had hot food including some vegetarian options which was much appreciated. The breakfast was so much better than most mid range hotels I have stayed in the US. Overall a very good experience!

Great location for tube and attractions. Good breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Only downside is that it is on a busy road junction, so without adequate soundproofing it is a little noisy. Overall very good and I would stay there again, but would request a room at the rear of the Hotel.

Great beds, lots of little touches in the rooms such as a selection of teas and coffees and complimentary convenience items, good location, nice pub adjoining. Only complaint is that there was a birthday party in the pub for hours one evening, and it was too noisy to enjoy a drink. Overall, very good experience and we will recommend to others!

The hotel was perfect. We were staying in London for my son's graduation at the Royal Festival Hall so the location was great, just a 15 minute walk along the river. The staff were ever so friendly, and helpful and the room was very comfortable. There were some lovely touches, such as chocolates and posh coffee, bathrobes, and eye masks as well as toiletries. The pub/restaurant area downstairs was cosy and inviting, and the breakfast good with plenty of choice. We will come back as soon as we have an excuse to do so!
