I’ve found a common theme in the reviews, the location and facilities are well kept and the view is great. The most concerning and recurrent theme that you will see is related to service. For a background, I am of Mexican heritage but grew up in the US. As Latino traveling to this particular hotel, I’ve experienced time and time again at multiple restaurants the same service, all latino travelers are not prioritized. The service raise concerns about the very intentional and deliberate service favoring different tourists of different backgrounds. You will find this being a common theme amongst the reviews. This behavior is brushed aside by the service staff. Furthermore the time share experience literally is a racketeering type of thing. Sure, should I have avoided going to the “informational” meeting.. yes, but this experience became a reminder of how upset they become when you don’t want to buy into their model. Like I was lectured by their Marketing Director -Karim, about how I should spend my time and money. I raised my concerns about his lack of professionalism and while I did receive an apology from the developer staff, I’m not sure there are any consequences to his behavior as others have shared similar experiences. It saddens me deeply to see Mexicans treat other Latinos this way in Mexico and while I don’t think it is reflective of Mexico, it certainly is for the service staff at this hotel.
