'De woning is vrij donker en ouderwets ingericht. Dat is niet onze smaak. Het zwembad daarentegen ligt heel mooi! Internet is slecht! Hoewel het erg afgelegen ligt ben je wel in 25 minuten in Lucca! Al met al vinden wij de woning te duur geprijsd.'

Comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms and Carmine the host was very attentive and helpful at all times. 'This is a gem of an immaculately and tastefully restored farmhouse, set in spectacular olive trees and pine forest. Access is via a long driveway to a house that is about a kilometre from the village. There is total peace at the head of the valley, sitting beside the excellent pool, looking down on the lovely village of Santa Maria dei Guidicci. Sofia and Pierre-Angelo were graceful and very attentive hosts and we highly recommend this unique holiday home.'
