Very spacious and comfortable place in the center of everything in Madrid! The apartment had a working kitchen with large and spotless newer appliances, two sitting areas, 3 bedrooms and a washing machine with large drying rack. Each bedroom has its own heat/AC, and there was a portable heater upstairs which was critical as it was really cold out during our stay. This setup worked well for 4 adults, because everyone had their own space if needed, but could hang out in the upstairs living room as well. The location is central to Madrid, close to the palace and several plazas, and literally hundreds of options for food/gelato/shopping within a few minutes walk. It’s also on the ground floor, so no lugging your bags up 3 flights, etc. It was clean and the beds were comfortable, water tasted good and there was plenty of lighting. A few cons - the downstairs bathroom shower did not have a door or curtain, it’s just open to the common space in the hallway. The upstairs en suite bathroom has a door, shower was tiny but good water pressure and the window opened for venting. The front bedroom downstairs got a TON of noise from the street. The other two bedrooms were really quiet, though. There are no opening windows out to anything in the whole apartment. This was fine for us since we spent the entire day out exploring, but if you need a balcony for your coffee or like to people watch, you can’t do that here. For the price, though, this place was great!
