I stayed at Hotel Puerta de América and was disappointed. While the housekeeping staff were excellent and kept the room spotless, it was frustrating that no new water bottles were provided—especially in the summer heat and with no minibar available. We had to ask for water daily. At the pool, which opens late at 11 AM, there was no service until after 1 PM. No one offered drinks despite the 37°C heat, and staff acted annoyed when asked. Even after 1 PM, service was poor—you had to go get things yourself. Staff at reception were unfriendly and not helpful. When I asked for a taxi, it felt like a burden to them. Room service was also disappointing. I clearly asked for no ham due to dietary restrictions, yet they still brought a ham sandwich, leaving my friend without food. While they refunded it, the mistake was serious. The pool is small and overcrowded, with too many cushions making it hotter. There’s no ambiance or music, just an uncomfortable setting. This hotel does not feel like five stars at all—more like a three-star property. I wouldn’t recommend it.
