'Het is niet een echt goed hotel. We waren op doorreis naar Schotland en hotels in de omgeving waren ivm de common wealth games erg duur. De prijs vh hotel is redelijk en je kunt op loopafstand naar de trein die je naar Glasgow centrum brengt, wat we hebben gedaan. De service is uitstekend, super vriendelijk personeel. De bedden zijn niet goed, te zacht.'

'Hotel kamer was prima, wat krakende vloeren, maar ja, dat hoort erbij. Eten, ontbijt en diner is prima. Mooi punt om de omgeving te verkennen.'

'A basic hotel with simple rooms. The fourth bed in our room was noticeably shorter, so my 13-year-old child didn’t quite fit. That said, the restaurant was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly. And although the rooms were quite basic, they still met all our needs.'

As to breakfast, I was a bit disappointed that there was no fruit available as an option - but no objections were raised when I brought in my own supplies. Despite a fair being in operation on the green opposite, it was very quiet - EXCEPT on the Friday night when there was a function with loud music on...

'Vooraf, aardige mensen allemaal, daar niet van. Incheck tijd best laat:16:00 Ontbijtijden voor het weekend best vroeg: 09:00 klaar. Kamer was veel te warm en raam kon niet volledig open. Niet storen kaartje voor de deur was er niet. Schoonmaak wilde vóór uitchecktijd de kamer in. '

'Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast in the restaurant was OK. No drinking water in the room although there were supplies of hot chocolate, tea and coffee. The hotel parking was down a small alleyway and next to a pub so we decided to park elsewhere and walk in. Looks like there is room to create more secure parking on the disused primary school site.'
