'There is a notice property is under new ownership and renovations underway. However, be very aware that anyone can walk into the building at night or day, no security locks at front or side entrance. It's extremely difficult to feel safe there and I wouldn't have stayed if I had been by myself.'

There wasn’t any firewood for the wood burning fireplace which would have been nice for Christmas Eve, if we needed to get our own, it would’ve been good to know that?! 'This place is rustic, but has potential. No communication from host as to how to get in. I tried emailing the host via VRBO, calling, and texting. After texting I got the code to get in and the wifi. You have to have your own water to drink and cook with. It is well water without a filter for getting useable water. The well water has a potent smell and taste of iron. There aren't any curtains in the back of the house and the roll up curtains in one of the bedrooms aren't great. The furniture is...

'My husband and son enjoyed staying at this home for an in town event last year and this year I was happy to experience it too. It is a lovely, well equipped space with a cozy “cottage” feel. Perfect for this winter stay. We enjoy visiting the area, so this will continue to be a go-to!'
