This is the second time we stayed here. Loved its location, within 3-5 mins walk to the Elizabeth Street tram stop and Melbourne Central station, shopping area and plenty of restaurants. Perfect in every way.

The hotel was great. Super nice and clean. I would say that it’s not very obvious for patrons of the Ibis to know where to go. There was no one at the ground floor to direct people and I feel like if you had a language barrier, you may not know where to go. The reception is on the second floor. They have an express check in that was very convenient and easy. There are people at reception if you need them. I did have ti ask where breakfast was as again, it isn’t obvious and they have 3 floors with different restaurants. It is pretty easy to get to the hotel via transit once you figure it out. I took an express bus from the airport and then took the train. From Melbourne central, it is an easy 10min walk max. Despite it being in a small street that looks almost like an alley, I felt pretty safe at night as a solo female traveller although I would just be cautions since getting to the main road you have to pass by small alleyways but there was always people around so it didn’t bother me. I found the tram and bus situation a bit complicated, but all of that is very close to the hotel. The room was nice and small, but had a distinct smell. I got a queen compact room, but I could see how there may not be enough room for two people or if you are a tall or bigger person, the shower is very tight. The sink is located in the room so not much space and only one drawer for clothing.

Small very clean room perfectly adequate for one person a week. Not suitable for two. TV could do with being higher as cut myself on the edge a couple of time. Lack of drawers or shelves was not an issue for me but the inbuilt safe was a plus. I prepaid for breakfast and it was excellent value. Staff were all very helpful. Small cafe attached was not part of the hotel and closed early

Room was super clean. The ladies at the service desk were also lovely and kindly kept my luggage safe as I arrived earlier than the check-in time. Really well priced and worth the price. Will stay there again!

IT’s location is convenient to cbd and also very close to southern cross station many handy cafes around also gd value for money

Positief: Personeel en service, staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
Great staffs and locations. However some amenities such as slippers, toothbrush are not provided for free and they cost few dollars. Occasionally there are ants coming out from the gap on the ground around the bathroom area. Understand it is not about cleanliness but about quality of inroom construction.
