I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Miami Downtown and was quite disappointed with my experience. First and foremost, there was no self-parking option available, which was frustrating. The hotel seemed more interested in pushing guests toward their expensive valet parking service rather than informing them about nearby, more affordable public parking options. It felt like an intentional attempt to maximize revenue rather than provide good service.
The cleanliness of the hotel was below expectations. Common areas were untidy, and it was clear that upkeep was not a priority. For a hotel carrying the Hyatt brand, this was surprising and frankly unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the staff was unhelpful and came across as rude. Instead of assisting with directions or offering solutions, they seemed dismissive and more focused on upselling valet services than actually helping guests feel welcome.
Overall, this was a disappointing stay. With so many other options in downtown Miami, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a hotel that values guest experience over profit.
