This is the 10th or 11th time we’ve stayed in the presidential suite but the first time since the new renovation. This is truly our favorite place to vacation as a family. The check in is completely seamless between VRBO/Expedia and the Ritz property. The property manager (James) has been the person I’ve communicated with for 10 years and I think the longest I’ve ever waited for a response is an hour. The room is great and just got a nice upgrade to the furniture. It’s one of the few true two bedroom and family room / kitchen rooms at any resort so that’s huge for my family of 6. The kids pool is perfect because it’s zero entry and at its deepest is like 4ft. The splash pad is awesome and the beach is next to the pool. Is it the fanciest ritz? No. Does it have the best experiences (golf/kids club/ boating etc.)? No. What this place truly has going for it is that it executes really well on what it is. A decently well appointed resort with solid food, good staff, great pool, good beach and perfect weather. Vacations for a family of 6 (3 under 6) are high risk and going to the ritz key biscayne removes that risk completely. Direct flight with the option to fly into 3 different airports, best weather on the east coast, and a resort where you know exactly what you will get. I would also say that the size makes it perfect. Big enough to have two pools, 6 tennis courts, three restaurants etc. but small enough where you never have to sprint to the pool at 7am to reserve chairs etc.
