'Our room was well taken care of each day by the housekeeping team, the chocolates that they bring by each day were also an added bonus. The only issue that we had during our trip was when the gentleman working at the cafe gave my wife an attitude because she asked for sandwiches at 4:30 and he said it was close to closing time which was at 5:00.'

'Wistful location and a beautiful room. Very large with a nice sitting area, decorated with a spa like touch. Very comfy bed, waffle towels and bathrobe. Local toiletries to make you feel connected to the area. Conveniently located across the street from one of the best restaurants in St John’s the Mallard Cottage. An authentic experience all around with a luxury touch!'

'We vonden ontvangst beetje koeltjes, wat later wel iets beter werd. We kregen een kamer op de 4e etage, een suite, dat woord vonden we iets overdreven, de lift ging tot de 3e! Als je meerdere dagen blijft is dat wel een ding met zware koffers. Het bed was echt een drama. Netjes was het wel, het had een bepaalde uitstraling, iets wat gedateerd. In het toilet staat het water zo hoog dat je hand soms nat werd. Ontbijt, niet echt bijster goed.Geen brood/broodjes soms verpakte croissants, geen...

'The price was right for a 5 day stay and the staff were very welcoming in the hotel and PUB. I do think the rooms in general need updating, but the room was spotless on arrival. I also recommend providing larger bath towels.'

'The staff and room we had were lovely, however soundproofing between the rooms could be significantly better… I was awoken in the middle of night to a woman screaming at the top of her lungs for what felt like forever…. I did call the front desk and they seemed to take care of what I later found out was a domestic dispute… but unfortunately that completely ruined my one “peaceful” night away from my kids, and we were not offered any discount or anything other than a “sorry about that”'

'The TV did not work, the phone did not work, electronic foor lock did not work, the property was run down and unkept, the room was dated with damaged furniture and equipment, no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The room was very expensive and they charged $25.00 per day for parking. Over rated and over priced. There are far better hotels in St John’s for less money. Don’t stay here!'
