It's tucked away in a small neighborhood right next to downtown Howell, nice and quiet on an inlet to the nearby lake, with everything you would want within 5-10 minutes (groceries, restaurants, pharmacy, etc.). The house is perfectly stocked in the kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms which was nice, and the host was very gracious and responsive. 'The cottage was our home away from home for a week while visiting our cousin who is going to school at UM in Ann Arbor. The home is a short drive (25-30 min) from the Big House, so it was perfect for a UM football weekend. If you're looking for a quiet escape with EVERYTHING you could think to need for a week on the lake, this is it. Our family of 5 had an amazing trip out from CA. Can't wait to be back.'

'The Memory House was lovely and well appointed! Beautifully updated with all new appliances with new fixtures and upgrades throughout! All the tools needed for cooking easily available for colanders, cutting boards, cheese tray, air fryer: convection oven to your standard oven and microwave! Refrigerator has ice and water on the door to make it easy. Loads of dishes, glassware and cups make get togethers are breeze. Dining table that seats 8 and a game table that seats 4, a quiet sitting area...

It would have been nice if the fireplace was functioning during our stay but everything else was fine and worked well. We would like to stay in the summer and be able to enjoy the waterfront'

Two minor issues: The house number is not available from the street. It would be nice if the number is on the house by the street. There are four ceiling fan/light remotes. The batteries were dead or missing, so the controls wouldn't work. We replaced the batteries so we could control them.'
