'We were picked up by the hotel shuttle bus from the train station. On arrival at the hotel, we were welcomed by a lot of staff and got a welcome drink in the lounge with a stunning view over the city.
We were then invited for a after dinner trip to the top of the mountain which was again a stunning view over the city.
The dinnner and breakfast were typical Japanese style and very tasty.
The rooms are big and had reasonable size bathrooms. There’s also a big public bath.

'Great spot for staying a night or two directly in the Nara Park. This allowed us to get up early and have basically the whole park to ourselves before the tourist groups arrive. Would definititely recommend it!
The room was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and the location was perfect.'

'The Shikitei is right on the edge of Nara Park - essentially it is in the park. In terms of position it couldn't be better.
It had all the comforts of a ryokan including a great onsen bath,, and wonderful staff.
I can't recommend it more highly.'

'The hotel has great ammenities and the room service options have a ton of variety. It was nice having a massage chair and jacuzzi tub in the room. It was the largest room my husband and I stayed in throughout our travels in Japan as well.'

'A nice experience in Nara, easy to reach from the station (6 min taxi). Easy to walk to the Todaiji temple. Very friendly staff, relatively small room and bathroom. Excellent Japanese breakfast in a beautiful dining 'hall'. '

"Heerlijk verblijf gehad in het hotel. Mooie kamer, goed ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel én natuurlijk de heerlijke spa. Echt een pluspunt. Even ontspannen na een intensieve dag was heerlijk. Gescheiden spa, waar je je eerst helemaal schoonboent van top tot teen voordat je gaat ontspannen in het heerlijk warme water.
