I recently spent over 10 nights at Woodlands Inn, Chennai, and had a smooth, comfortable stay throughout. 'We stayed here for a night and a day. The staff is very friendly and when possible they extend above and beyond for making sure the guests have a great stay. 'Superb 5 star hotel. Very nice, clean and modern spacious rooms. Restaurant Colony, serves continental dishes as well a local Indian food in buffet or menu.
On Sunday's there is special lunch buffet, where locals reserve for to be able to attend.
Very friendly and helpfull staff, for me the place to stay when I'm in Chennai!!'

Food is good and a nice pool area.
Accommodation is very disappointing. We stayed in the apartment wing. Corridors are shabby with stained carpets and damaged doors. A fire door was left ajar ( using piece of cardboard) which is a safety violation. The fittings in the room were worn out and shabby. Air conditioning vents have not been cleaned for ages. Certainly not worth the Euro 300 per night. Quality more befitting a 3 star
accommodation. Maybe its time the top managers start doing a walk...
'this has been rated and advertised as a four-star hotel but it is not. It is hardly a two star there is nobody at the lobby. After hours There is a cleaner/ receptionist Nepali guy who hardly speaks any English caveat emptor.
