'Super cool apartment in the old wall city. NOTE: There is no reception and you need to contact Casa Palma for arrival to arrange meeting for keys and payment. It's like finding a apartment in an ancient maze, but amazing once you find it. We didn't know about contacting the host, we were horrified that it was just closed for the season, but once we called, it was very worth the extra trouble, best stay in Greece.'

'This property has no parking. Once you find parking and walk to the street closest you have over a mile up hill and stairs. You have to carry you luggage, cooler, etc up many stairs. You need to be met by an employee because it is difficult to find and she speaks very little English so it was hard to understand where to meet her and so got frustrated. After seeing the place we immediately left and found the Vathi Hotel which is 5 stars and cheaper.'

Cozy little hotel on the quiet side of Monemvasia
"The hotel is situated at the very end of the town, away from the busy little streets at the beginning near the entrance gate. Very quiet both during the day and night. Because it is at the end of the town, it is quite a walk over the cobble stones with your suitcases, so pack light! Our room was nice and cozy. We had a standard room with sea view which was amazing. The shower is pretty small and has a shower curtain which will stick to your body no matter what, a shower door would be nice, but I understand they have to work with limited space in the classic building. The breakfast was very nice, lots of different options of both mainstream and typical Greek. The breakfast however is indoors on the first floor. I initially thought we could have breakfast outside under the olive trees because of the pictures. However, this is a little cafe where you can have a drink and snack with view of the town and sea. This didn't lessen our experience though because the breakfast room was still lovely. I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Monemvasia."
