'Alan’s House is very well equipped, comfortable, super clean, and has a lovely view. Thank you, Alan for the lovely, welcoming bowl of fruit as well!Should you choose to stay at this VRBO, my only suggestion would be that you bring earplugs as the barking dogs and traffic can keep you awake.'

'The host was super welcoming! This was our first trip out of the Country and to Coasta Rica! Derek was the top notch Host, greeting us as we arrived (His dog and cat as well!- Plus for us because we are animal people!), showing us around the property, and available if needed! 'The house felt secure with a locked gate entry for our rental car. The host was very responsive and gifted us with bread and coffee when we arrived. The layout is a little strange but the house was comfy overall. '

'We had a very good stay at the Casa. View of the mountains and sunset is the best you can get. The owner is superb and was very responsive and made everything possible to make our stay comfortable. He even left us some beers, coffee etc which was amazing and I appreciate the gesture.Improvements needed:It got very hot and the windows did not have grills or mesh and so opening them was a bit risky (bugs). 'To stay here a car is the best way to go—it’s located on a lovely property a bit outside of Santa Elena proper—not walkable to the Cloud Forest and other things we wanted to do, although only a short drive to coffee tours and a nighttime wildlife tour. The house is beautiful in a very contemporary Latin American style. Nice pool, but it was a bit rainy when we were there and sun breaks did not correspond well with when we wanted a dip—but we can’t blame the hostess for that '
