'Very old decro room , was ok ,but not to my taste. Staff very friendly and overall good.
It is a pub but it was not noisy in the night.
Short drive to the town. I would prefer to walk to Ludlow but we could not find anything closer.'

'Although the hotel facilities were good and the location was very central, our room was above the bar which was a club on Saturday night. The music was really loud till midnight. Although the web site mentioned that they had a DJ, we hadn't expected to be right above it.'

Clean and tidy but a little worn in places. Not for picky travellers but ideal for those seeking a characterful stay. Some great historic features and plenty private parking. Good value and a memorable stay.'

'Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and there were a lot of amenities like a hairdryer, coffee, tea, and towels. The linen were also...
