'I booked the Hotel at the last possible moment. This is a hotel suited for students. The hotel is basic clean and cheap on a good location. 20min walk form both old Montreal and downtown. However there is no air conditioning, no TV, no Breakfast. The temperature in the hotel was to high (august) and the ventilation poor. The bed was crap, more like a plastic box. 'Charming old stone storybook house, sweet and friendly proprietors. It has the feel of a youth hostel, with a little outside garden, piano, shared bath and kitchen access. You get to old town via a walk and metro ride, and it's just fine if you are not in a rush. The vieux neigborhood surrounding the 'refuge' is interesting and there's a walking path nearby where you can see all the people who live here walking their dogs and so on....delightful!'

'Twee 2-persoonsbedden in de kamer was heerlijk. De netheid van de kamer is slecht b.v. de radiator zal vol vuil. Echt smerig. De elektra aansluitingen zijn gevaarlijk en in zeer slechte toestand. De aan- en uitknoppen van de schemerlampen zitten in de fitting van de lamp!!! Dit is echt heel gevaarlijk omdat de fittingen snel uit elkaar vallen. Monteer moderne fittingen en een tussenschakelaar in het snoer voor aan en uit. Allerlei dingen zijn kapot of heel beschadigd. De liften zien er niet...

'I travelled with two teens and really appreciated the spaciousness of our room and two separate bathrooms. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our 3 night stay. The pool and gym are nice but on the small side.
