I stayed at the Sandman Hotel in the beginning of April 2022. The hotel is located across the street from the metro/subway, is easily reachable, and though it is located near a highway I did not have any noise bothering me. The view from my room was wonderful, the room was spacious and comfortable. I want to give a special shoutout to Thalia who welcomed me. I had a hard time acclimating to the different continent; where as her customer service skills, patience and kindness made me feel welcome.

Il y avait une bande d'amis qui ont pris plusieurs chambres l'une à côté de l'autre sur notre étage. Le soir ils ont sorti leurs glacières et ont fait une fête sur le couloir. Oui oui, croyez moi ils étaient genre 10 personnes dans le couloir entrain de boire leurs bières sans aucun respect. Au début le bruit était tolérable mais vers 23h c'était devenu très bruyant, j'ai appelé la réception plusieurs fois parce que je n'arrivais pas à dormir à cause du bruit. Et ça a duré jusqu'à 1 heure du matin, j'avais un bébé de 2 ans qui n'arrêtait pas de bouger dans le lit à cause du bruit. Bref, c'était un séjour à oublier. L'hôtel est bien situé et propre.

We always stay here when we have our own vehicle for a trip. The parking and metro access are essential for us. We have a large truck and parking in downtown Montreal proves to be quite difficult. The metro acess is right ny the parking lot, so incredibly convenient in that matter. Staff has always been great, the rooms have always been clean and tidy. Could possibly use some updating as some of the fixtures and wallpaper are getting damaged/dated. Our sink had a small leak but nothing major. All in all a very good hotel

Excellent customer service but overall corridors carpet needs replacing, no microwave in the room only one for each floor . No breakfast included in the package it would be nice to include breakfast on the price. The pool was too small for so many residents.

Pros: The Metro Station is on the same property (100 feet). You do not have to get on the Champlain Bridge at all (saves time and traffic). Easy access to everything Montreal has to offer without having to get in your car at all during your stay (if you use the metro). Clean enough. Very comfy beds and pillows. Cons: You will hear traffic driving by all night long. The walls are thin so when we stayed it was hard to sleep well because a lot of people came and went very late at night and their voices carried loudly as did the doors closing. Elevators are VERY slow. We pressed to go down early in the morning. We waited for a good five minutes. When the elevator didn't open up still we took all of our luggage to check, out down five flights of stairs, still beating the gentleman who chose to stay and wait for the elevator, to the lobby. The heater/air conditioner was a bit musty (so we didn't use it despite being hot). For breakfast you pay extra, which I wouldn't mind if it was good, but it was overpriced for what you get (lots of carbs: toast, waffles, bagles, muffins). Hardboiled eggs but no scrambled. No bacon or sausage. Just yogurt, cereal, unappetizing bowl of fruit cocktail. Overall don't waste your money on the underwhelming breakfast. Staff is very friendly but checking in seemed like it took longer than it should (although perhaps the guests in front of us were just too chatty). I would definitely stay again though. No major deterrents.

Pour le prix payé et en banlieue de la ville, le rapport qualité/prix, c’est vraiment moyen. L’hôtel aurait besoin d’amour. Les matelas sont creusés, les tapis taché et la base de la toilette bougeait. C’était mon endroit préféré en qualité prix mais15 ans plus tard les chambres et l’extérieur aurait besoins de rénovation du au prix. Je ne recommanderait à personne d’aller là pour ce prix. 210$ pour une chambre en banlieue ce doit être mieux que ça! 99$ aurait été un bon prix versus l’état de l’hôtel. Merci

my bathroom sink has blue and white striped toothpaste on it from the guest before. made me grossed out and question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Also I saw doritos crumbs near the corner of the bed. I don't eat Doritos, so again was grossed out. the front desk team was very nice though. but bathroom looked and felt dirty.
