'We stayed at the Dogwood Treehouse during the ice storm FERN in January of 2026. We knew going in that there was a chance we could get stuck, but we had been planning this trip for nearly a year and didn’t want to cancel. 'The blue fix cottage was amazing! First off, the location can’t be beat. We love the quick, easy walk to downtown Black Mountain for coffee in the morning or shopping in the afternoon.
