Don't waste your time.
So let me start off by saying we love staying at Oceanside village and we have stayed there several times over the past few years. This was by far the worst stay. And let me also say that i know that theae are not luxury houses, so i know that things are going to sometimes be outdated or not in the greatest shape. So many things were wrong, but i dont like to complain because like i said you kind of get what you pay for. The owner was very hard to get in contact with. But she had no problem letting me know that we owed $200 for things that were broken that i told her were broke when we got there. I then let her know that the oven downstairs would not turn on. The fan in the bedroom was broke and all the other fans sounded like they were going to fly off the ceiling. The queen bed squeaked so much you couldnt move and one of the twin mattresses was to big for the bed so it kept sliding off the bed. There were barely and cooking essentials to use and the dishwasher would not close properly. When i told the owner the items she claimed were broken she never responded back. We will always stay in Oceanside village no matter what, but i will never rent from her again!!

Sorry that you had to pay for broken idoms, and I anderstand that is dificult to keep eye on 5 children and thinks happen.You are not renting from me first time so was ok. Now from your description I do not recognize my house.People rented the place after you , and not one complain. I also send my handy man to check the place, because I always make shure that my guests are happy with they stay. when I ask if the

Get away near the beach
If you are looking for a luxurious stay, keep looking. If you are looking for a place close to the beach with lots of room in a gated community this place is for you! The property manager was easy to communicate with and deployed maintenance when we experienced problems early in our stay. The golf carts were nice as it’s a bit of a walk to the pool and beach. The property does match the photos but has worn from use since they were taken. Furniture is randomly placed outdoors along with beach items. We did not used the outdoor grill because it was very dirty. It would be helpful to have a floor plan that accurately reflects the small bedroom off the master and off the kitchen. We did not use the bedroom off the master which could be accessed through the master or the screened porch. We were underwhelmed by the basic amenities of the units (up and downstairs). With the exception of bath linens, a general inventory assessment is recommended. We stayed for 10 days and would’ve liked to have extra linens for beds and cleaning supplies stocked, access to vacuum (similar to other reviews we swept a lot as it is challenging to keep up with sand due to location ) The listing states beach towels but only two were found. Glad we did bring our own. Due to location and property manager responsiveness we would stay again if property and inventory were refreshed.

Yes we are improving to your liking as vacumcleaner, and extra linens for people staying longer then a week.If you notify me that you are missing extra linnens then I cud send cleaning people back to you with linnens.Sorry about it.

Great Stay
Dorothy was a great host! She answered any questions we had before and during our stay. The home was clean, beds comfy and stocked kitchen with all utensils needed to cook, grill bake etc.We love staying in Oceanside Village. This is one of the best homes we’ve stayed in there. Close to beach and pool and the golf carts made it so easy.

Enjoyed our stay
There were a few hiccups the first couple of days with the lack of a second golf cart. But it was taken care of. There was a nosey neighbor across the street, she accused us of letting our dogs poop in her yard and not getting it up, which wasn’t true. She also kept the curtain moved so she could see what was going on. Overall it was a good stay but I don’t think I would stay there again. I’m not one for drama.

Sorry that you had the neighbor from across the street giving you hard time .She is only there once a year. As of golf cart you recived it as soon you notify me that there is one missing.

Awesome family beach trip!
The property was just as listed with the use I two golf carts. The downstairs apartment stays super cool! Plenty of chairs for us to use! We didn't need umbrellas or any beach towels but I did see a basket with a few towels in it and two umbrellas. The owner is very nice and willing to fix any issues ASAP. We had a little hiccup with one golf cart but was an easy fix!! This house is also close to the end of the road so traffic is minimal to none! We had a great time!!

Vacation Troubles
The main renter was left off list and couldnt get in gate and had to wait 24hours, 2 golf carts broken (fixed in 24 hours) had to rent one, 1 bed broken, a part of microwave fell off. Other than that, we had a great time.

The Villiage security never leave out any guests. Your main renter, your father, was let in after his unaceptable behavior. He almost did not get in. No one complaind about the bed and the microwaive being broken. I guess you needed to write this to complete the picture of your father almost being arrested. I take pride to make my guests comfortable and enjoying their vacation.

Another amazing stay
This was our 2nd time here and we had another amazing trip. The house and all of the amenities were perfect for our family and pets. We greatly enjoyed having the golf carts to get everything back and forth to the beach, pool, and dog park. We had more than enough space for the entire to relax comfortably and enjoy time together. Spring Break
Dorothy’s property was the best choice for our group. We’ve stayed in Oceanside Village and know the area so this was very convenient and familiar!! The host does need to be sure she changes her description of what’s available (beach towels were not ) and to make sure all golf carts available are operational!! The home was clean, accommodating, and had everything we needed. I will definitely be back to stay if it’s available!! The host was very easy to communicate with also. Thank you Dorothy!

Sorry that you did not get beach towels.If you let me know at the time that the beach towels are not there I can send house keeper to correct the issue. We got new house keeping so I think that she owes look it.We are offering 2 golf carts and we have third one in case something goes bed.This is matter of communicating it to us and we are very happy to correct it immediately.

Winter Paradise
My husband and I wanted a place to get away from NE winter for a month or so. We found it at this cute, spacious beach house. Great location to the beach either walking or by the provided golf carts. Pretty much everything you would need is stocked. The grocery store is a short car or cart ride. There is so much to do which made our time fly. Dorothy was always assessable to answer any questions. We can’t wait to go back next year.

Great getaway
We went away for the holidays to spend time with family. It was the perfect layout for two families. Great location, very close to Myrtle airport, close to beach, close to restaurants, golf carts were a cool bonus. The indoor pool was great for kids during the winter months. The link for address via confirmation email brought us to a different address but looking back we think it could have been user error since we didn’t double check that it’s not Myrtle, but Surfside Beach. It was tricky getting the locks open but it was also dark when we finally arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would recommend this location again.

Wonderful Holiday Get Together

Great Location
We love staying at Oceanside Village and this property is in the area of the Village closest to the beach, approximately 0.3 miles, so definitely walkable. Having two golf carts was wonderful so that those who didn't want to sleep in could drive over with the provided beach gear early. The rental on the bottom floor is really nice and it is basically like having two rental properties for the week. The property was great for my family. For those who read reviews to choose a property, please note that the twin bedrooms are pretty small and one of twin rooms is attached to the master bedroom. The property has a nice screened in porch as well. I enjoyed reading my book there in the early mornings. The kitchen is stocked with every dish, pot, etc. you will need. There's a really nice Dollar Tree close by if you run out of paper products.

Perfect Vacation!!
This was the perfect property for our family vacation! It had so much to offer for everyone. Our dog loved the bark park so much and we were grateful to find a place that allowed us to bring him along with the family. Beach house family vacation
House was very inviting. Being an older person, it was nice having my own place downstairs while the rest of the family were upstairs. Went upstairs for meals and visiting but liked my "getaway" quiet time. Having the golf carts to go to the beach and pools were an added pleasure. Would love to return.

Multi Family Vacation
We traveled for a week’s vacation with 7 adults, a toddler, and 2 small dogs. The house was spacious enough for everyone. The room with the single twin bed is attached to the master bedroom. May be awkward for adults, but I personally like the setup for parents traveling with kids as it was great for giving the toddler her own room close to my husband and I but away from the commotion. The two golf carts made transporting people and things the short distance to the beach incredibly easy. The location within the community was quiet with hardly any traffic. Dorothy was quick to respond to any questions we had. Would recommend for multi family vacations.

The owner of the property was very helpful and she responded to any questions in a timely manner.
There was an issue, but it was not on the specific property that we rented. It was an issue in the development that was a surprise to all owners and renters. Appears to have been a supply chain issue that was finally being fixed. The timing of all of this was the issue. The owner was helpful in responding to our questions. We would return again in the future .

Christmas Vacation 2021
The house was great for our vacation and we had a great time. We enjoyed how close it was to the beach and the golf carts were a huge plus. Dorothy was a great host and was available to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. However with all of this being said please be aware if you rent this place you will have some interesting neighbors to deal with, they do not take well to this house being a rental. I will say that we were glad that the 1st one left two days after we got there and the other one left the next day. The 3rd one stayed but kept their distance and just watched from afar. Other than the neighbors it was a great vacation and we enjoyed every bit of it, Dorothy is a great host!!

I can only think that they behaviors was accounted to the incident with other my guests that one of them hit the house of the lady a cross the street at 1am after the party outside.The second one damage her house and my golf cart.This happen in short time. Location is fantastic! Dorothy was very pleasant.
The only unfortunate issues we had were no wifi (all week, we could not resolve the issue although Dorothy tried) and not enough parking (the driveway was being repaired while we were there). Otherwise the place was terrific and Dorothy very nice! The golf carts to get around the community were a big family hit! We would definitely return to this lovely vacation spot!

I am very sad that you did not communicate with me about WIFI. You did not notify me about the problem until 3 days to your stay and correction was made. We have very good service from Spectrum and they come to assist in a short time if problem come in.You were told to call me if the correction do not help I do not know why you did not call me. I did not received from you notice about your car hiting my neighbor house at 1 am. If come to the parking it wasn't repaired only added additional 3 parking and the work wasn't done whale you were there I made sure of this. You had 2 cars and the parking was good for 2 trucks and golf carts .

We had a very nice time with family . Place was very clean and neat . Better in person that the photos represented . Suggest your have someone else take new photo to accurately represent how nice the place is . Houses next door are a bit close and did not like having to park car number three so far away when place advertised as 4 parking places but was still a nice place , the golf carts were a hit with going to the beach . Dorothy took care of our check in issue right away . Very nice lady . Would recommend to anyone and we will hopefully be able to rent again when down that way visiting our friends to moved there permanently. Thanks again

I am coming to SC in the beginning of Dec. to have instal conkrit for 3 more cars so it will be parking for 5. I am sure that it will make you happy if you will come and stay with us again. Dorothy

Family Vacation 2021
The house is everything you need for a nice get away There were some things we weren’t aware of upon arrival but nothing that changed our feelings of the house First the downstairs is only accessible from outside there are no stairs connecting the upper to the lower. Not a deal breaker for us as it made grandmas stay even more peaceful Second the single twin room is only accessible thru the master bedroom or and outside door. Neither of which is ideal for say our six year old. Again not a deal break because the two twin beds worked for us but may not for someone with four kids. The house was clean-ish there were some wrappers under beds and the stove missed by the cleaners but you’ll have that Finally the across the street neighbor is not a fan this is a rental...tread softly if you have kids who like to play catch in the drive way Dorothy was great and we would stay again

Great location and amenities for families
We enjoyed the amenities of the home. Golf carts made for quick trips to the private beach/parking. Floors were still pretty sandy when we arrived but everything else was clean and ready for our family. Beach chairs and towels were provided for our use!🙂
