'The hotel is a located inside a converted house. Everything looks very traditional, complete with low ceilings, sliding doors, mat covered floors and futons. The dorm slept four, which I though was tight, but it seems to work well enough that I slept quite well both nights. My futon had two layers and although I like a firm mattress, I did think it was quite sore on my back the 1st night.

'What a fantastic place to stay. Convenient location from the train station And easy acces to snowmonkey parc. The food was amazing And the service level as well. They have an amazing bar on the roof. You sit with -15 in heated plastic iglo tents zipping from your drinks. The onsen Spa is big on the upperfloor overlooking Yudanaka And the mountains. The Room is huge. So wonderful stay And highly recommended.'

'It's an old traditional Japanse Ryokan. The owners are super sweet and friendly people. They speak verry little english but it all worked out. We stayed for 2 nights including breakfast. The son picked us up from the train station (we told him we would walk from the station to the Ryokan but he was there anyway, so nice!!) and the next day he drove us to the snow monkey park. There is an small onsen in the hotel (which is also the bathroom) Beware the onsen is SUPER hot! You can use it privat....
