'Toilests are filty and run down the bathrooms have no proper shower and hot water .Cochroches everywhere no eating utensils no sheets on the bed only tiny blanket. Power points arent working, fan turn on no control full blast only. To make matters worst the care taker cant speak English French or Bishlama only Chinese just wondering where this care taker came from.We need someone to communicate with.The only one good thing there was the friendly security and the house keeping lady who...

'Loved everything about our stay! We only had five nights. Wish it had been more. Anne, Petter and staff were so welcoming and the care and small touches make it a special place. I did my PADI recertification while I was there. So pleased to be back diving again. If you want wonderful snorkelling straight off the beach, home-cooked meals using fresh local produce, an intimate setting, clean, spacious and comfortable accommodation and a chance to experience the real Vanuatu this is the place for...

'beautiful room overlooking the water'

'We stayed 6 nights from 20th June to 26th. The snorkelling just outside the front door was amazing and food was good with a reasonable selection. The location is a relatively long drive (around 30 min) from Port Vila on roads in poor conditions for some of the drive. The staff were very friendly. One suggestion we have is to provide a blanket for the king bed as it is too warm with the doona but too cold without it for the weather. I would recommend this place for everyone. Thank you all'

'Absolutely stunning jungle/ river property, lush and green. The large house is very spacious. It was comfortable in the July weather. Plenty of room and beds for our family of 6. Property is off grid so some issues with hot water that were rectified. We’re told we would have daily house keeping, which didn’t happen once, but we were ok with the washing machine. If we had asked, I’m sure it would have been provided. Accessing the tours and using the river was a highlight for our family. - no fly...

'Loved our stay. Staff were amazing. The snorkelling was great, just as expected. Hideaway is very relaxing, quiet with few residents. Even with day trippers, it didn't seem that busy. Food was great. Not alot of options but this the Beach Bar near by, there is plenty for all. Will definitely be going back.'

'Good resort, very clean, nice setting. Staff is lovely, their travel desk can be a bit pushy in offering only their tours (Pele island didn't exist because they didn't offer a tour to it for instance...). Thing to improve is the breakfast. Pancakes, canned fruit, Vegemite and some very dry pastries and that was it. Anything else had to be paid for.'

'Had a bad experience when a hotel driver didn’t collect us as scheduled at night and we felt in danger. Didn’t feel like evening staff knew much about the tours or options for transport available. Parts of the hotel room were broken such as the security latch on the door and fan knobs. Wardrobe doors wouldn’t close. No options for streaming on the TV without compatible devices. No snorkels available for use or hire. Felt it really wasn’t a 5 star hotel standard.'

'Ik heb een week in Poppy's gelogeerd, het was er prima. Dit resort ligt, zoals de naam al zegt, aan een lagune met een privéstrandje en wat strandbedjes en kajaks. Er zijn 3 zwembaden, maar op het familiebad na, stellen die niet zoveel voor, ze zijn echter wel schoon. Er zijn verschillende accommodatiekeuzes, van ruime gezinsappartementen aan het strand tot aan standaard kamer in een klein gebouw wat meer naar achteren. Ik verbleef in 1 van deze kamers, wat wel betekende dat het een pittige klim...

'Staff amazing. Breakfast included had some good points, the omelette chef deserves a medal as he’s doing so much. All the food in Bain Marie stone cold each day and bacon unable to be chewed. Such shame as staff on the floor work so hard. We did notice a senior staff member standing, over staff watching but he,didn’t lift a finger to help them. The biggest fault in the hotel is the internet. It is,almost non existent so as a business owner I can’t have a full holiday and need wifi so my day...
