All my communication with the Soundry was via text after I made the reservation. Instead of reading further, I assumed it was like any other hotel accomodation. It is not. As they tell you, check-in is at 4 pm. The hotel does not have a guest lobby with receptionist and you cannot enter until you receive a code to open the front door. There is a big QR code outside the front door which does not lead to anything except a greeting. And, communication is via a 'bot. So, it is a pretty cold, rather than welcoming rental. The room itself was clean and well appointed. There's no light by the bed, only an overhead. To watch tv you must login to one of your own streaming applications. There is street parking available. An interesting thing is the back of the hotel is full of Weber grills, lawn furniture and a few picnic tables. In the lobby area there is a popcorn machine with no popcorn, a coffee pot with no coffee and a vending machine where you give your credit card and then it senses, and charges you for what it thinks you selected. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I like to think I am a valued guest. I felt like I was in a factory run by robots.
