The weekend coincided with my milestone birthday, and to my complete surprise, the wonderful team at the Loft, made it all the more special with a birthday message, a box of chockies and some sparkling. 'It’s very dated and gives domitory style accommodation. Walls are very thin and I could hear everything in the next room and corridor. I could hear a man in an adjuscent room snore the whole night. Staff are not available onsight after-hours. I had to walk a very long way from my room to get hot water/tea and use the microwave which is in the common room, because the taps closest to me were broken. My room was full of ants and the bathroom tiles are brown with stains. Bed not so comfortable but...

'If you like nature and quiet only an Uber removed from the center this is a great place to go. We took an Uber from Melbourne center and walked everything else through forests and mountains. Nice staff too!'

'This hotel is a home for displaced individuals, there were permanent residents in rooms that were not even one star quality. I did not even sleep there as I did not feel safe and instead booked a different motel down the road. My intuition was correct as when I turned up the next day I saw the reception front windows had been smashed in overnight. Definitely avoid this hotel'
