'The place was perfect for a two day trip. It was clean and had a great view of the little lake and fall colors. We were able to cook breakfast on the electric griddle provided, however, we were not able to grill the steaks we had planned because of no way to clean the grill. No problem, though, we just had an authentic German meal out instead.'

The area is really quiet, and outside from the Pinckney Bend Distillery there are not many activities you can do in the area. It does serve well as a place where you can easily go to Hermann or Washington (about 20 mins driving distance).'

'This is our second stay at this beautiful property. We rang in the New Year at Mandolin Ridge and it was beautiful. We were greeted with the birth of two baby goats which was quite auspicious. The home is spacious and like going to a comfortable, beautifully appointed museum. Each room has hidden delights. A feast for the eyes indeed. The host, Loribeth, is considerate and warm as well detail oriented. It is clear she wants to provide excellence! Mandolin Ridge and Loribeth really deliver.'

'Rustic, spacious, good outdoor areas, peaceful private lake, well equipped. Nearby neighbors but not intrusive. Had weather cooperated better it would have been an ideal setting for our retreat.'
