I absolutely loved this stay!! The staff was awesome!!! Wesley was an absolute gentleman and was very welcoming. Everyone that we encountered was amazing!!! Our room was amazing. We will DEFINITELY be back!! This is one place where the Karens are wrong....... ijs.......

The hotel is changing ownership and renovations have not begun. I would add more trash cans in the room. There was only 1 small one in the bathroom. The outside of the tub needs to be cleaned. Beds were comfortable but squeaky and more pillows please. Staff is wonderful. Couldn't ask for better. All in all this was a good stay. I will be back once renovations are done. Fantastic location. Parades block away.

False advertising! The photos for each of the themed rooms do not match the reality of what you get. Everything is run down and falling apart. After 5:00pm, there is no staff on premise until after 9:00am the next day. The Garden District is beautiful and reasonably priced for the location.

Beautiful but needs TLC
What beautiful hotel, which needs a lot of TLC. Unfortunately during our one night stay, there was no heat nor hot water. The mattress and pillows need replacement and there is a lot of repairs needed at this place. The manager did try to assist with the heat but due to the parades was not able.

The Magnolia Mansion Experience
Our stay was amazing. Loved the stunning Magnolia Mansion, it felt like it belonged to us. Very quiet and private. We were able to walk around to view the entire Mansion taking pictures without anyone bothering us. We also felt extremely safe outside the Mansion. We would love to visit again, and I highly recommend the Magnolia Mansion to others. My only critique is that it would be incredible to have a simple hot breakfast in the morning. That would be the only thing I would add, which would elevate the stay to the next level. Regardless, I truly enjoyed my stay. The Magnolia Mansion was a perfect Valentines/Mardi Gras getaway with my husband.

The reservation clerk doesn't seem to know what she's doing or was trying to scam my credit card. She called the day before I was to arrive and informed me that my credit card had not cleared. I informed her it was charged by my bank. Luckily, I had all my paperwork and then she was quick to assure me my room was paid for. When I arrived earlier than expected she acted as though she didn't know me and that my reservation must be under another name after just taking to me 24 hrs prior. No staff was seen when we arrived nor when we checked out. It was all self service.

January stay..
We requested a queen size bed and was given an full instead so not as comfortable as expected. The heating and air was controlled for two rooms and located in hall which made a small inconvenience. But really enjoyed the quietness and relaxation of the stay.. Amenities of bed and breakfast was good except no breakfast, the advertising of bed and breakfast might need to be changed. We will stay again if opportunity to visit New Orleans arises for us.

It is a beautiful old mansion, but the heating/cooling system is weird, there is really no proprietor to offer information or assistance in the evenings or early mornings. It is like a mauseleum inside. Weird music, empty and dead.

The hotel smelled musty, like it might have had mildew issues. There was no elevator and our room was on the second floor. The stairs were narrow and had a curve in it making it difficult to carry the bags. I also have issues with my hip sometimes making it hard to climb stairs and it would have been good to be warned of this before booking. We loved the character of the room, but there were cobwebs in the corners and the ceiling fan hadn't been dusted in quite a while. There really wasn't a place to put toiletries in the bathroom. Kind of weird when we discovered that there was no staff at the hotel overnight should we have needed anything. The staff was very friendly, and it was fun to see such a beautiful area of New Orleans before heading out on our cruise.

This is a very special place. Each room is designed around a New Orleans theme, mine was Bordello Storyville. Gorgeous. Apparently they recently came under new management, and they seem to be making a special effort to raise their level, not that I noticed that it needed raising. I don't remember seeing it in their booking material, but the front entrance is made up a steep staircase, and there is no elevator and a very steep staircase, to second floor rooms. I was told that there are some rooms on the first level, so keep that in mind.

Wonderful place to stay! Mansion is beautiful and the old-world charm has been well-preserved. Antique furniture, hard-wood floors and the incredible architecture of the mansion create that perfect fantasy getaway for a New Orleans visit. Property manager was an excellent host and was very helpful for travel advice and sightseeing. Cleaning staff was also excellent. I loved it and would stay again at Magnolia!

I did not like that there were no staff from 6pm to 8am. As a young female, that made me very uncomfortable. The mansion has a New Orleans feel to it but there are many updates needed.

Really cool place and in a great location. There was also plenty of parking on the street right in front so that wasn’t an issue. The air in the room was controlled in the hallway but if you adjusted it it would affect the other two rooms on your side of the hall. It was a bit strange but there were no real issues with it. Only issue I had was the shower had no warm water.

This was our second stay. We were disappointed when they ran out of coffee the first day. We did call and leave messages. The toilet in the Bordello suite was slow at refilling and slow flush.
