I did not stay in this hotel because my trip was canceled due to some serious health issues. I understand the hotel’s policy does not wave any penalty on cancellation. However, even with the help from Expedia to send a letter from my cardiologist to the Hotel management, they just followed the book and totally ignore my request of waving the penalty. I think the hotel management is not handling this case from a humane perspective. This is very disappointing. I also canceled all the reservations for Singapore and Taipei in this trip. All these hotels also have a policy that does not accept any waving of penalty. And after they received my cardiologist’s letter, they handled the case in a very kind and flexible way, and finally accepted my request of waiving the penalties. Their help and understanding is highly appreciated by me. And definitely I will book the same hotel for all my future trips to Singapore and Taipei. On the other hand, I travel to Hong Kong almost every year but I don’t think I will choose this hotel again in all my future Hong Kong trips because of their lack of flexible consideration under a special condition. Maybe the management is very bureaucratic, I doubt if my request has ever reached the senior management staff.
