We did not have the best stay here. Partly it was a matter of timing because there was a diesel truck rally at the dirt track close to the hotel. The noise went on until after 10 pm ftom the track. And a lot of the participants were staying at this hotel and they were out in the parking lot talking very loudly and racing their engines for hours. The front desk couldn’t do anything to get them to settle down so we didn’t get to sleep until early in the morning. Be sure to check the schedule for the raceway at the Orange County Fairgrounds before you plan to stay.
However there are other reasons we would not stay here again. First, the “breakfast” was inedible. The omelet tasted like cold powdered eggs with American cheese. The sausage was tasteless and greasy. The pancakes made while you watched were tough and tasted like sawdust. The coffee was okay though. We wound up stopping at McDonalds. Also the dispensers in the shower were empty so no shampoo or body wash either.
On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the linens very soft. Just not enough to make up for no sleep and bad food.
