'A lovely place to stay, spotlessly clean and great service. Great food in the bar and all very reasonably priced. Becky in housekeeping provided excellent service in the rooms. It was an ideal place to stay with easy access to Hay and to the cafe in the airstrip. We will return if we go back that way again.'

'Lovely quirky old hotel but bathroom layout poor, could do with removing bath and putting a shower only, it would be much safer. Reception lady at 2pm was very abrupt and just said “check in not till 3” we only wanted to let her know we had parked in the patrons only car park. Breakfast staff and checking out lady, lovely.'

'We were walking the Shropshire Way and the White Horse was a nice place to fall into at the end of a long day's walk. The food was wholesome and the bedroom was quiet and comfortable. The bar area was popular with locals celebrating a football match win and this lasted until around 10:00 pm when it all subsided into a gentle placidity. The breakfast in particular was delicious.'

'It was exactly what we were looking for. A country pub with B&B. Arrived to a warm welcome, good beer and nice dinner. 'An absolute beautiful property perfect for a family get together. The property is very well presented and cleanliness is second to none. Its a very well equipped property with everthing you could ever need. The games room was superb and all the family enjoyed. The layout of the property is perfect and there are lots of seating areas if you are looking to relax. Checkin process was super simple and the host is always on hand if required. We had an amazing stay and would 100% stay here again.'

"Hotelmanagement bestaat uit lieve mensen, heel behulpzaam, maar de organisatie is verder wel wat klungelig en verdient nauwelijks de kwalificatie hotel. Enige pluspunt is de locatie en het prachtige uitzicht. Verder ontstijgt dit hotel van zo’n 8 kamertjes, die overigens wel schoon, maar veel te klein zijn voor een langer verblijf, niet het niveau van Fawlty Towers. Er is geen lift voor de twee verdiepingen, dus is niet geschikt voor lieden die moeilijk ter been zijn. Restaurant faciliteiten zijn gemiddeld en zeker niet top."
