'The family that runs this homestay is very warm and friendly. The room was big (surprising for Vietnam!), modern and clean. The best part for us was the view. The limestone mountains and the river we could see out our windows and door were just so picturesque. The location is away from the main homestay areas (although very close to Hoa Lu and the Trang An Boat Ride entrance) as well as any shops. They have a decent food offering, we found it useful to supplement with eating in town and bringing...

'I found the room to be very dirty. The bathroom had black mold, the sink area needed to be cleaned, there were a lot of cobwebs and a spider on the ceiling, then really questionable streaks / stains on the sheets. I could not sleep comfortably the first night, I booked a tour the next day, so I packed my bags so I could leave that day even though I paid for 2 nights.
