'We had a very nice 2 night stay. It was very clean, quiet, room was of good size and plenty of places/furniture to put things. sofa and pillows comfortable. The bed was a bit firmer than we are used to. The freezer in the refrigerator didn't work. The hot breakfast buffet was great both days. bathroom was very nice with lighted mirror and soaps, hair products, etc. Everyone we talked to was very friendly and helpful.'

'Coming to Shipshewanna, we booked a room at Essenhaus Inn because our usual hotel was totally booked. I cannot begin to say how much we enjoyed our stay in the atrium! From the friendliness to the cleanliness...from the free brunch to the free "afternoon" cookies...we were really impressed. Next trip to Shipshewanna will find us staying at the Essenhaus Inn again!'

'Overall, we had a good stay. Check—in was unique. The rooms were spacious with very good furnishings. The bathroom floor seemed less than 5 star. Except for some nice area rugs in the two main rooms the floor was a finished concrete. On the upper level, and with only 11 rooms, there was minimal noise! 'When we checked in the room was clean, it was cold and dry (superb AC during the heat wave), and it smelled nice. The breakfast was acceptable by free breakfast standards. I enjoyed this hotel, it is well managed and staffed.'

'We were not happy at all with the room. The bed was so high we could not get on it. Could not relax in any way because it was either the bed or 2 wooden chairs. Carpeting was not clean. This was not very accommodating at all for 2 people in their 80's.'
