'This is my favorite place to stay in the Rice Lake area. It is a charming lodge tucked away in a quiet spot right on the lake. Expect beautiful vistas year round. Each room is designed uniquely, several are pet friendly. Each has a view of and access to the lake. The staff/owners are friendly and accommodating. There are complementary non-motorized water activities in the summer and nightly campfires. Breakfast is fruit and a locally baked scone. There is nothing hotel-chain about this place. '

'The staff were great--ie, welcoming and helpful. One correction in their listing: they say they offer a continental breakfast. (They even said this at check-in!) They actually offer a full breakfast:--eg, eggs, sometimes eggs whites also, pancakes, sausage or bacon, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, juice, breads, etc. The pool was larger than many hotel pools. '

'The owner was awesome, had the cabin ready for us. Gave him my eta he had cabin warming already, beds were comfortable, near the trails. We all enjoyed our visit and planning to go back before end of the snowmobile season.'
