'We arrived after a long drive from Kirkjubæjarklaustur, checkin was fast and we were given the room immediately. Room was clean and spacious. Being vegetarians, we did not find enough options in the restaurant in the hotel. so we had to drive to Egilsstaðir which is a 20 mins drive from the hotel which had some decent places to eat. Hotel breakfast was good next day morning. Overall, stay was satisfactory and highly recommend. '

'Een prachtig hotel op flinke afstand van de doorgaande weg. Hier kan je in alle rust genieten van de natuur en de hottub waar je gratis gebruik van kan maken. Parkeren geen probleem. Prima ontbijt. Mooie kamers en prima douche. We hadden uitzicht op het meer. Zeker een overnachting waard. '

We waren zo gelukkig om begin september het noorderlicht te zien, wat goed zichtbaar was omdat het hotel niet midden in het stadje ligt (lichtvervuiling). We werden door het personeel naar onze kamer begeleid, iedereen was vriendelijk en benaderbaar. Ontbijt is niet in de prijs inbegrepen en kostte rond de 2000 króna (14 euro) per persoon. 'Lovely rural property, road is a little rough getting there, but very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was perfect with an assortment of breads, fruit, delicious lattes, juices… The woman who was preparing breakfast was kind and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!'

'Cosy guesthouse in the middle of nowhere. The owner, Siggi, gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived and we had a great chat with him over morning coffee. The room and facilities were excellent; next to the room itself there's a well equipped common area with sofas, TV, fridge, etcetera. Excellent bed and pillows. Got a tasty breakfast buffet even though it just the two of us that morning. Would come again!'

'Good bed, private bathroom and nice shower. Minimum facilities and you need to bring your own food if you don't want to drive approx. 30 minutes to the nearest town. EUR 170 seems a bit expensive, but this seems to be the average rate in this area. Area is quiet and has a beautiful view. Parking on site in front of the room.'

'We had a nice stay with a very helpfull guestlady and owner who helped us out a lot when we were unfortunate enough to encounter a flat tire. The surroundings of this hotel are beautiful with the mountains and fjord to look over. Breakfast was nice with local icelandic bread.'
