Terrible experience
We chose this place for the spa. By 9pm the first night there, the spa was still too cold to use. At 9 pm the power went out, just in the apartment. We knocked on the hosts door upstairs, phoned and texted her. No reply. Power came back on at 8am, and went off again after an hour. Gail was too busy on the golf course to sort out the issue with the power for her paying guests. We also found out the previous guests had been having the same issues with power cutting out, but Gail was happy to take our money and not even mention it. We asked for a refund due to the power issue and cold spa and Gail's response, delivered very rudely, was that we could check out if we limed, but no way would we get a refund. Rather than risk another night sitting in the dark with no power, we left and played more money to stay somewhere else. Very disappointing experience. Don't advertise a spa if you are too cheap to turn it on early enough Gail. We would like our money back please

The house was dirty, especially the shower which had mould everywhere. There's an architrave missing in the bedroom which has a gap into the ceiling. A lot of dust. A positive was the spa. We left early and will not return

It was good value with comfortable beds but the space was not welcoming and everything a bit tired . The kitchen was well equipped. There were 3 of us but only 2 stools to eat at the breakfast bar .The outdoor space is dominated by the large hot tub . There were no views from the property but very convenient to take the ferry to Maria island .

Dark and gloomy, no natural light or views- despite the name. Loungeroom floor was filthy with long accumulated grot under chairs. We didn’t stay and booked elsewhere. Sadly too late for a refund.

Nice big spa. Location convenient. The unit is substandard: bed sheets, kitchen utensils, carpet, etc are all old and very dirty. Address not listed on Google Map. It looks like these issues have been listed by previous tenants but the owners haven't bothered improving them. We will never come back.

A little small for the number accommodated.
The unit was fine for a couple. Although there were only 2 stools at the bench for eating. We asked the hosts for a table on the deck so we could sit down to eat which they obliged graciously. There were beds for 5 people but no where for that number to eat.

The coffee table in lounge is big enough to accommodate 5 diners and has proven satisfactory for the last 4 years glad you enjoyed your stay

This place was hard to find and no street name was given when we did the booking. The property was comfortable and clean, had some paint fumes due to recent painting. The owners lived upstairs and the lady was very nice. There was plenty of extras in the cupboards and some chokkies too ( thank you). We also loved your kelpie dog and gave him some pats. We did not use the spa as it was too cold for us Qlanders .! Orford is a lovely place to stay and has some beautiful beaches

If you are thinking about it don’t
On arriving the the property seemed ok. The second bedroom should have no more than a single bed it’s so tiny especially for bunks. Very dirty under the bed. Main bedroom was comfortable and the spa was relaxing. To our dismay the noise from the owners abound started at 7am. Vacuuming, power tools and also banging in the garage just of the lounge of the apartment. This all continued til we up and left the property at 12 Noon. Not the relaxing holiday we had planned. The owners blatant disregard for us was appalling and I have never stayed anywhere like this… May be ok for a couple but you would want to check they aren’t doing renovations first. Didn’t even bother to ask why we left early.

Great retreat for a couple of friends
We really enjoyed our stay. A great spot for a couple of friends to stay. The hot tub was amazing. Gail was wonderful and brought us extra towels to use after our spa. The only suggestions would be that it would be nice to have a clothes airer and a book of local information about orford and things to do.

Friendly owner and dog, great beach
The lovely Gail greeted us personally and welcomed us to check in early. Our children fell in love with her dog. The place is great for sleeping in as it’s quite dark. There’s no table or washing machine but the laundromat in Triabunna is great. The bunk room is tiny and there’s no rail. Great shower.

We had a lovely short stay in Gail’s great downstairs apartment. It was very roomy for our family with 2 kids, comfortable and supplied with everything we needed. Nice quiet area pretty close to town, could easily have strolled in if we’d needed to.

Lovely couple of days
It was a lovely time away and we loved the huge spa. We didn’t realise when we booked that it was under someone’s house but it was private and fine. Owners were friendly and were kind to give us a late checkout. It was a good base to explore from. Although no dining table there was a large coffee table and breakfast bar which was fine. We enjoyed playing games at the property. Everything we needed was here. Thankyou!
