Welkom bij Mallard View Estate. Dit 3000 vierkante meter grote landgoed met uitzicht op de oceaan ligt aan de rand van een ongerept zoutmoeras, op 3 km van het stadscentrum, Skaket Beach en het fietspad. Fantastische afgelegen locatie aan het einde van een rustige doodlopende straat in een exclusieve buurt, genesteld tussen een fruitboomgaard van 1 hectare en opgeluisterd door een groot Victoriaans Gazebo voor uw afternoon tea of familiefuncties. Kajak staat rivier door het moeras leidt van achtertuin naar het strand.

Een enorm terras kijkt uit over een van de beste wilde leven moerassen op de Kaap (een paradijs voor vogelliefhebbers) plus prachtige zonsondergangen in uw eigen achtertuin. Geniet vanuit elke kamer van een prachtig uitzicht. Twee grote slaapkamers, twee andere grote slaapkamers, plus twee slaapbanken. Beneden is een volledig apart appartement met slaapkamer, kitchenette en woonkamer met slaapbank, ideaal als twee families het huis delen. Eetkamer tafel stoelen 10-12. We bieden een computer-, printer- en DSL-service. Voor uw gemak woont een terreinwachter rustig boven de garage.

We zijn een korte wandeling naar het mooie Skaket Beach en Rock Harbor, waar de charter vissersboten vertrekken. Speciale functie - fantastisch vuurwerk op 4 juli vindt bijna in onze achtertuin plaats en biedt u een van de beste uitzichten op de Kaap. Geniet ervan met je vrienden vanaf ons grote achterdek - een geweldige plek voor een barbecue. Een ander uniek kenmerk - we worden geconfronteerd met het noordwesten, dus prachtige zonsondergangen boven Cape Cod Bay worden elke avond perfect bekeken vanaf ons terras.

Orleans is het centrum van het culturele leven voor de middelste cape. Een charmant dorp met prachtige restaurants, winkels, ijs, coffeeshops en antiekwinkels. Ook 1/4 mijl afstand is de bekende Cape Cod Trail om te fietsen. Provincetown en Hyannis liggen beide op slechts 30 minuten rijden om walvissen te spotten, fantastische winkels en restaurants te bezoeken. Hoewel het over het algemeen als een hotspot in de zomer wordt beschouwd, is de kaap ook buiten het seizoen heerlijk voor een rustig uitje.

Spectacular marsh views overlooking Skaket Beach

Convenient location and spectacular marsh views overlooking Skaket Beach from expansive deck are the selling features for this home. The house is in need of updates but the kitchen was recently renovated and AC installed. With 5 bedrooms 3.5 baths it easily accommodates our large family. We love spending time on the deck and watching the sun go down over the water. We have been returning for several years and plan to keep coming back. Trudy is a good host, always accessible and responsive.

Amazing house, beautiful views and great location!

If you’re looking for a perfect place for your getaway on the cape with family or friends, this house has got it all (besides linens, gotta bring those)! We made such great memories in this home, it felt like home by the end of our stay. Everything we needed for comfort and fun was there (air conditioning, tv, grill, crochet, beautiful kitchen for cooking and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating). Couldn’t have asked for a better place, and Trudy was such a wonderful host!

July family stay

view is superb. Sitting on the deck a wonderful way to spend hours. Birding is good fun. Gazebos a treat to have a drink in. Inside, things are not so great. Some areas, apparently newly refurbished, are good but too many others are moldy, decayed and smelly. Needs work to bring everything up to previous magnificence.

Great multi generational vacation house

Nice big property. We had 4 generations under one roof. Great view over the marsh. Do be aware the photos are a little misleading. We thought we'd be able to access the marsh waterways at high tide, but that is not the case. Chris the property manager was great. I'd definitely come back. Short bike to Skaket beach and Rock Harbor.

Scenic property, great for family visits

We stayed there during the July 4th week. The sunsets over the bay were extraordinary! I think we saw fireworks at least three nights from the back deck. Since the house is right at the edge of the tidal marsh, the kids had fun learning about the crabs, birds and bunnies that they would see every day. Every day felt a little different depending upon the weather but was always beautiful in a different way. The house is great for family visits. Lots of space to come together, but also privacy when you need it. Hosts were polite and responsive. We didn't really need much because everything was fine as is, but they were quick to answer if we had a simple question.

Extended Family Getaway

My extended family got together for a long weekend. It’s the third time we’ve rented the home and as always, it checked all the boxes. Plenty of sleeping accommodations, all of the necessities for meals and BBQing, and a great yard to hang around in when we weren’t at the beach or out and about.

Spectacular sunsets and marshland views over looking Skajet Beach.

This was our third stay here. Perfect location with spectacular sunset views overlooking marsh land and Skaket Beach. House needs updating but can easily accommodate 8 adults and two young children. Works well for our family. We’ll be back!

Roomy rental with superb view

A few minor fixes & this home would be an excellent & desirable rental. A spider infestation is evident in the walk-out level. New mattresses & pillows are needed on all beds. The mattresses have lost support & the pillows are stained & musty. Basically, all the bedding is soiled. In a rental, I'm sure this is hard to avoid. The view is lovely and we enjoyed it both from the indoors & sitting on the deck.

Family vacation

This was our second stay at this property and was fantastic overall. It was also clear that the owners have made significant upgrades in the last year (updates to the kitchen and bathrooms, painting) that were wonderful. The house itself is spacious and accommodates our whole group comfortably, and the location and view cannot be beat. We are looking forward to returning next year!

Stunning view over the salt marshes. Spacious deck and garden. Lots of space indoors with plenty of space for our group of 12. Beds and furnishings were comfortable. Some rooms have been newly updated, but as other reviewers have mentioned, other parts need to be refurbished. For us the musty smell in the lower level, the kitchen drawers and the broken screens in the lower level were the most serious. However, the beautiful setting, spacious grounds and multiple seating areas meant this house worked well for our group.

Great stay with the family for a wedding nearby

Our family had a great time at Trudy's property. We visited for a wedding for the entire weekend and the house proved to be within 10 minutes of everything we needed to get to. Made it quick and easy to drive as well as get ubers as needed. The house itself is quite large with plenty of space for a much larger family than just the 8 that we brought that weekend. Also, my grandparents joined us with a cane and a wheelchair. The basement was actually a perfect opportunity for them to enter and leave through the garage without having to go up or down any staircases throughout their entire stay. The house is also a quick mile from Skaket beach and a mile away in the other direction from a marina. The groundskeeper (who is actually a very nice, friendly and helpful gentleman) gave us a tip to go visit Young's Fish Market for the best (and affordable) lobster rolls! Highly highly recommended. The only downside to the stay was just some minor cleaniness. The kitchen still had open food left over from previous stays in the fridge, cabinets, and coffee grounds still in the brewer. Obviously manageable, and not a big deal at all. Great stay, and would recommend anyone interested to stay as well!

Great views and location

The location was great near Skaket Beach, the bike path and the town of Orleans. We walked, biked and shuttled to the beach depending on the situation each day. The house was great for our group of 10. The kitchen, indoor dining table, outdoor dining area and LR were large enough for our group. The outdoor shower was great. The house however does have some deferred maintenance that needs to be taken care of. The AC was great in the bedrooms but the main living area was quite hot at times as AC is only in the bedrooms. Overall, except for the AC, a great place to rent.

Mallard Estate

We booked this place to stay and for our daughter’s wedding ceremony and reception. The grounds and the setting are beautiful. The view and sunsets from the back deck were breathtaking. The house was large enough for our party of 11 with many spaces to hang out. However, in one bedroom, there were two mattresses together, rather than a box spring and mattress. This made for a very uncomfortable sleep situation for our son and daughter-in-law. The kitchen has very dated cabinets that are difficult to open and need some WD-40! Also, we were provided with a very small trash can in the kitchen. For a large house, hosting large groups, one would expect a bigger receptacle. There was a very efficient garbage and recycling system in the garage. Other positives.. Chris the caretaker was great. He was extremely helpful and very informative about the property and town. Our overall experience was positive!

Perfect Location, Some Issues

Overall, we loved the house. The location is amazing. Easy drive to Orleans, great bird (and rabbit) watching and a wonderful yard. The house was very comfortable, with plenty of space for everyone (we had 10 people). While the entire house is not air conditioned, the bedroom a/c units worked well. The weather was generally mild and there was a good breeze most days. The grounds keeper was great, very helpful. We had a few issues when we arrived - the key was not where it was supposed to be and the WiFi instructions were incorrect. We contacted the owner and these were resolved quickly. A couple of items to note: - as others note, the house could use updating, - only one bedroom is en suite, - linens and towels are not included. That should be clearly noted on web site. There were bath mats and kitchen towels so do not rent as we did. Again, we loved the house and would recommend to others.
