'Great beds, great bathroom, modern decor. Just a pity the bar was closed when we arrived on a friday evening. Breakfast buffet was fine. All in all, we were pleasantlt surprised by what we thought would be an average close-to-the-airport-motel. The pick-up was very quick, with a very welcoming driver. Recommended!'

'Very easy to check in and check out. Didn’t like that there wasn’t any water to make tea or coffee, yoghurt 20 days out of date. Coffee machine gave 25mls and coffee shot each time pressed…..very strong!!!! However one area of service does not deter me not to stay again. I hope the problems have been rectified.'

'Wij hebben dit hotel geboekt omdat het dicht bij de luchthaven ligt. Het is een prima hotel maar ongezellig. Kamer was groot met een goed bed en een mooie badkamer. Om bij de kamer te komen moet je door de parkeergarage. Dat geeft 's nachts om twaalf uur een wat unheimisch gevoel. Voor één nacht prima maar verwacht geen luxe.'

Only issue - the hotel has no on site parking, but they have affiliated carparks in the vicinity that’s 5-10 min by foot. Can be rather inconvenient in wet weather conditions. 'The price was fair given the excellent service. We were there to celebrate my partners 60th birthday so they threw in a bottle of sparkling wine and a small box of chocolates as an unexpected surprise. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. I chose this place because we had be there in June to celebrate my 60th birthday only my partner never mentioned that so we didn’t get the wine and cockies but had a lovely time all the same. '

'Alex Hotel is the perfect location for relaxing in the city. Location is 'cool' (Northbridge) and the vibes in the Alex Hotel are.......Alex. Healthy food and guests with slippers, but than the Aussie posh/classy way. Not Vogue or Harpers Bazaar, but Cosmopolitan. It is Australia so 'no worries mate! Yes the Alex is relax and chic but the Aussie way. And I think than that you understand what I mean.. '
