'There is no such building called the Picton waterfront apartments. The building is actually called the Oxley rock Apartments.
There is nice signage or any indication anywhere that we are at the Picton waterfront apartments. This created total confusion and frustration whilst we walk outside in heavy rain with our luggage paper in hand trying to figure it out.
Very poor experience. Phone calls and email went unanswered.
Apparently, we were supposed to be sent an email explaining how to check...

'I don't think I've ever written such a bad review before, but I don't understand the basis for all the extremely positive reviews here. The place is old and desperately needs an upgrade. The door lock is loose and the key doesn't fit properly, making it difficult to get into the room. The bed is old and uncomfortable; you roll to one side. 'Excellent apartment for our family fresh off a flight from the UK. Really clean and high quality finish. Communications from hosts were excellent. A short 15min walk in to Hanmer itself so you are both close enough and in a really peaceful setting. We wish we could have stayed longer. '

'All windows need to be cleaned all carpet needs professional clean or replacing, the main ensuite bathroom cabinets are perishing and the bathrooms need cleaning and wooden floors need cleaning, also the tables need dusting properly. One of the blinds in the main bedroom is faulty. One of the dining chairs is faulty. There was rubbish under a bed. There is only one outdoor chair and no table. Stunning views. Good price point. Carpark nearby. '
