Another Great Stay!
My husband and I had another great stay at the Spotted Grouper. Sharee is an awesome host and so easy to work with. Our only "complaint" was that our stay was too short :) We wished we would have had the time to stay longer. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing get away, this is the place!

Comfortable nest
First of all I want to say how accommodating and sweet that Sheree is! She certainly made us feel comfortable staying there. The place was exactly as I saw it online and very close to the beach. I know they're probably a nuisance but I was very excited that I got to see a bear in our driveway! The house was very comfortable and I did not want to leave! It had everything we needed for our stay! It's a very quiet neighborhood and the neighbors were also very sweet. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who's looking for a nice quiet getaway!

Really nice place!
It was a really nice place where we stayed. All the comfort of home. Had a few problems when we got there but got them worked out. The only toblem I saw was the access to the beach was not ideal but we made the best of it.

I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay at our beach house! There are 2 separate beach accesses-the one in front of the house where you walk down approximately 1 block in distance to the beach or directly behind the backyard there is a sandy/wooden walkway (same distance) to the beach which is kept in excellent condition and is maintained by US Florida Parks.

Quiet, cozy, relaxing!
The booking and check in process was very easy. The host is so kind and helpful. This place had everything you need, was quiet and comfortable! It’s just a short walk to the water down the driveway. We visited nearby St. George Island and Wakulla Springs- both were beautiful! I wish the beach at the house was a little bigger (more sand area) and the water was clearer but both completely unrelated to the actual house, which was perfect for our family. Thank you for sharing your place!

Old Florida getaway
The beach cottage was clean and recently updated. The pics on vrbo are accurate. The beaches are sugary white sands and the state park behind the house is beautiful. We are outdoorsy people and enjoyed riding bikes, fishing and hanging out on the beach. And if you love 70's music check out 104.1 the Gulf radio. It is a wonderful remote getaway. Very peaceful and quiet.

Home away from home
The spotted grouper was a perfect slice of of old florida. We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. Beach access was a quick walk and the outdor shower made a nice refreshing touch. Neighbors and neighborhood were quiet. The host was great as well easy to get ahold of in need be. We had a wonderful, relaxing time.

A perfect beach stay
We love our trip and had the best time. The cottage is so cute and really well done. Very vintage but everything is fresh and clean. The beach is a minutes walk away and is perfect for families as the water is shallow and gentle. We took our four boys and they loved every minute.

The property itself was great! It truly felt like a home away from home. Sheree was WONDERFUL! The only negative was simply the water of the Gulf which I believe was from all of the previous storms. I would 100% recommend the property, especially if you are into nature and fishing!

Charming Beach Cottage Home Away From It All
“The Spotted Grouper” was a great little home away from home for our family. It was clean and nicely decorated. Checkin was a breeze and the host Sheree was very kind and prompt with communications. The neighborhood seems to be mostly local residents, and all the neighbors we met were super friendly. The area is a small away from it all place with more wildlife than people for sure. We strolled the beach for hours several times without seeing anyone else. The small gulf specimen aquarium in town was a huge hit for the kids with all their touch tanks. We all loved nearby St. George Island with the lighthouse and it’s little shops. The Blue Parrot there was our favorite restaurant of the week. We went there twice! Most of the local restaurants in Panacea seem to only be open Thursday thru Sunday and for dinner. Trident was our favorite restaurant in Panacea but it was probably also the priciest we visited. Our weather was a little stormy and that left the water too rough, cold, and full of seaweed and sea pork this particular week for swimming. All in all we had a great time and enjoyed some quality time with our little family and liked exploring a new and unique area. We would love to visit Panacea and stay in “The Spotted Grouper” again in the future!

A Pearl of a Find
This was such a beautiful, quaint, comfortable cottage that reminded me of a classic beach setting. We enjoyed time with family and friends and everyone had adequate space. The antiques and detailed touches are charming and the outdoor shower is incredibly refreshing after a day at the beach. The neighbors are friendly and the beach felt like our own private little island. Sheree, the host, was hospitable and personable, and she ensured that we more than we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Gulf views, peace and quiet
Spotted grouper is extremely comfortable, well maintained, stocked with everything you need. Very pleasant and helpful hosts. We had a short trip, but we could make the most of it by not having to drive for activities. Beach, hiking, walking , State Park areas are all just outside the door. Quiet neighborhood without the traffic. There are live oaks for climbing in the yard and flat bike paths for my daughters scooter. We recommend stopping for groceries on your way and not leaving Bald Point!

A great cottage one minute walk to the gulf. Roomier than the pictures. This cottage is located on a dead-end street with ocean view. We loved the nature - . clean comfy. Can't go wrong. We will hope to go back!!! Love it!

Sister’s getaway at The Spotted Grouper
Absolutely loved it! The Old Florida” vibe of the cottage brought back precious memories (our family had a cottage much like this when we were young). Decor was lovely, everything was fresh, very clean, updated. It was very well equipped and updated. So cozy and comfy! We hated to leave.

Nice little getaway
The Spotted Grouper is a cute little beach getaway. It's a cozy old Florida style house just a short walk away from the beach. The interior is comfy and decorated in coastal decor with cute retro touches mixed in throughout. Our kids, ages 4 and 9, enjoyed the big bag of beach toys but I think their favorite part was the outdoor shower. As for the adults, we enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella. Check-in was super simple and straight forward. Communication with the host was great. We would rent this place again.

The spotted grouper
The spotted grouper is a perfect beach house. The decor is amazing, the kitchen is my favorite room. It's all on one floor so those with bad knees or backs can rest easy. If I can go again I will stay there.

We enjoyed our return visit to the Spotted Grouper. The sunrises, beach walks, visits to the state park and just relaxing were exactly what we needed. The house is so comfortable and we felt at home. We love the "old" Florida feel!

Enjoyable
Enjoyed our 4 night stay. House was very cozy with a lot of attention to detail. Very well done updated space with a lot of extra comforts. Host was very accommodating. Can't say enough nice things. We would easily stay here again. We got fresh grouper at My Way seafood as recommended by Sheree (which was great). We also had a day of rain, so we decided to go to the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab and had a fun time. Mostly, we played on the beach, which was a short, convenient 1 minute walk.
