Zonsopgang bij Penguin - Beach Retreat

Zonsopgang bij Penguin is zo genoemd omdat het getuigen de ochtend pracht direct tegenover het strand - op 200 meter van het centrum en 30 meter van het strand.

Dit huis met 3 slaapkamers (2 Queen bedden en 2 enkele bedden) is volledig zelfstandig en korte en lange verblijven worden aangemoedigd.

Koffie winkels en eetgelegenheden zijn in de buurt, evenals bottleshop eisen.

Er zijn vele wandelroutes in de stad en diverse stranden - 1 uur van Cradle Mountain en geografisch centrale op de NW kust van Tasmanië tussen Burnie en Devonport luchthavens (30 minuten) - 25 minuten van Spirit of Tasmania terminal.

Mountainbikeroutes in de nabije Dial uit te breiden naar 70 km met een prachtig uitzicht vanaf Mt Montgomery (40 min wandelen). Hinterland attracties zijn de grotten van Gunns Plains, het Leven Canyon, wijnhuizen, landelijke landbouwgrond, Cradle Mountain en speciale biologische boerderijen zoals Mt Gnoman Pig Farm.

Stranden worden gepatrouilleerd door leven spaarders tijdens de zomer en vele sportieve activiteiten plaatsvinden gedurende het hele jaar als gevolg van de centrale ligging van Penguin's.
Onze standaard tarief is $ 140 per nacht voor de eerste twee personen en $ 30 voor extra personen per nacht. ($ 20 als op de wekelijkse tarief)
Kinderen jonger dan 6 zijn gratis.
Wekelijkse tarief is $ 140 x 7 verminderd met 15% = $ 833.
Maandelijkse tarief bedraagt ​​$ 140 x 30 min 30% = $ 2,940

We arrived to a very nice heated house which was spotless and very welcoming. Once unpack the owner , Terry , arrived to great us and make sure very thing was ok. Very friendly and helpful owner. The house has beach front views and is very roomy with everything we needed for our 4 night stay. It is a 5 minute walk to the shops which has an IGA , bakery, coffeehouse, information shop ,several restaurants and a pub. We had a meal at the pub , great atmosphere and food. Penguin is a great location for day trips to Stanley and the north west part of Tasmania. It is a 30 minute drive to Devonport to catch the Spirit of Tasmania. The owner ,Terry , made our last 4 days in Tasmania perfect with not only his charming house but also his friendly nature. Will be coming back to stay at “ sunrise at penguin “ again Thank you Terry

Perfect coastal home

This beautiful coastal home exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything needed for a night, a week or a month's visit...we could've stayed forever. We loved sitting on the front porch looking at the spectacular view Bass Strait We took a short and scenic walk into the town where we ate at Penguin Beer. The next day we had coffee and lunch in town and explored the shops. Our host Terry was so kind and helpful. Our only regret is that we didn't plan to stay longer here. The only bad thing about this stay was that I'd only booked one night! Everything about this accommodation was top notch, the decor, the quantity linen, the extra touches, the fantastic view, the comfy bed & super friendly host. I will definitely have this one in my fav list & hope i get another chance to stay here again. It's a great location if your catching the boat at Deavonport. 👌🏡

Gorgeous house in a beautiful location, with outstanding hosts

I cannot speak too highly of Sunrise at Penguin. Right from day 1 when I booked the property, Terry was so helpful and sent great information about the locality. He maintained good communication in the weeks ahead of our arrival, and was available if we needed him to attend to anything once we were in the house. Not that he needed to do much - when we arrived, the house was prepared with everything we needed, and far more than we expected. There is no scrimping on quality at Sunrise at Penguin: the furniture was very comfortable; the kitchen well-stocked; and the cooking equipment of excellent standard. The laundry, too, was well-equipped. The decor was just delightful, with quirky penguins fashioned creatively from various materials placed around the house, which added to the beautiful seaside atmosphere, along with the tasteful paintings. There were even fresh flowers in the lounge, and fruit left for us in the kitchen. The view was just incredible, and the beach is literally over the road. We did not want to leave: Sunrise at Penguin is definitely a place we will return to when we can get back to Tasmania.

Little Gem in Penguin TAS

This is a lovely property so well located with breathtaking outlook over the sea. Terry is a marvellous host and ensured we were very comfortable etc. Highly recommended as a relaxing and well equipped home in a beautiful little town. We had to cut our stay short as the dreaded virus was making our return to the mainland a bit dicey. Hopefully we can come back some day to spend some more time there. Thanks Terry

Absolutely stunningly beautiful

The only reason I didn’t want to leave a review was just in case it meant the property would be taken next time we go back! We only needed the place for one night but wished we had a week there and will definitely return. Everything about the place, the hosts the house the location and the town were just wonderful. The house was simply amazing and well worth the holiday. Both my wife and I loved either sitting in the main bedroom having breakfast in bed or sitting out the front enjoying the total ambience of the ocean. Well worth the stay. Two items I would recommend for the owner that would be nice are; (a) An espresso capsule coffee machine with a milk frothier. Instant coffee doesn't cut it. (b) Better sized pillows, the ones there are either to flat for one or too big for two stacked.
