'The room was very clean. It was close to the train station, but it was also close to the promenade and ferry. You cannot hear any trains whatsoever. This is not a hotel, we were promised to be contacted one week before check in about its details, however, 3 days before check in nobody contacted us. for us, visiting from different country, in the season where no hotels were available, that was stressful enough. 'The apartment was spacious, even with the extra bed they kindly put up for us so that our son could visit. Don't under estimate the steepness of the climb to the apartment! We walked up in the rain from the train station with luggage. The short cut paths will save you some time but the cobbles are very slippy when wet. However the view from the balcony when the rain cleared made it worthwhile, it must be the best view we have ever had from a holiday home!Our only issue was the bed, it was creaky...

'We enjoyed the Bologna house. It was high up on the hill and could only get there by taxi or bus. Very seldom were we able to find an available taxi and the bus just drove past where we stayed. When we called the property manager and said we were having trouble getting rides, he hung up on us. Property was nice but not a place I would return to.'

'Firstly, the hosts were incredibly communicative as we had a few issues we had to navigate. One, the description of the property didn't match what we received. We booked through Expedia which was where the discrepancy in the number of bathrooms showed up. We verified later that other listings only showed one bathroom. For this reason, I'm putting blame on Expedia. The second issue we had was a leaky air conditioning unit that dropped water on the sofa bed. We resolved this by moving the bed away...

'Nice apartment but no mention whatsoever that you can only use the pool for 1 hour a day and the Jacuzzi for half an hour a day. ( advert makes it sound like you have your very own jacuzzi but you done. It’s shared with about 12 other Apartments ). Garden needs a tidy up. BBQ could’ve been cleaned properly ( as it wasn’t I left it in the same state of found it ). Apartment itself is nice a modern. Lovely views'
