'Beautiful property in grounds of Clive’s of Cropthorne farm and shop/restaurant. Plenty of lovely food to try and delicious sandwiches we bought as we arrived. (The name of the house is actually The Heath not Gatekeepers cottage and is situated on the left as you drive in. This needs changing to avoid confusion.) Freddie was extremely helpful and was in contact with any queries. Modern and very clean, good sized rooms and gorgeous kitchen. Decent fridge freezer. Beds are comfortable and showers...

'I was kept away by noisy guest in the hall until 1 am. My door (room 138) showed signs of having recently been kicked, the fan was covered in dust, the bed (two single beds jammed together was uncomfortable and there were holes in the wall, very different in appearance to that shown in the photos. The guy at reception was fine, when he was there. Cheap but not that cheap enough at EUR 69.34 for the night. I regret booking this hotel aed but you may have a better experience if you are late...

'Amazing stay at Walton Hall, checkin was fast and easy staff really helpful and professional. Room lovely clean with plenty of space. Free wifi strength good comfy bed could do with more firm pillows thought but that's just my taste. Bar and hotel facilities amazing good selection of beers and wines menu really good and prices reasonable. Lots to do nearby and only 20 mins to the Cotswolds.'

"Prachtige omgeving en heerlijk bed. Personeel werkt had en doet zijn/haar best. Het is alleen gewoon géén 5* hotel. Restaurant zeer teleurstellend (steak rauw, tafels worden niet goed schoongemaakt. service door onervaren krachten). Kamer was prima, maar douche te krap, honden gadgets vergeten (na telefoontje wel snel hersteld) en sauna bleek alleen na 10 am- tot 5pm toegankelijk én tegen extra meerprijs/ zeer klant onvriendelijk. Zoveel potentie en zo weinig waargemaakt. Gemiste kans helaas "
