'Das Personal war stets hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war gut, mit frischen Obst und Säfte. Das Dorf ist sehr gut erreichbar mit Minivans und Mototaxis. Essen gehen würde ich eher in Urubamba empfehlen. Aber das Beste war das King Size Bett mit Daunendecke.'

'Ok you have to walk the stairs for this hostel but then you get to a typical backpacker hostal with a kitchen you can use, free mate de coca and a very helpful man at the desk. He speaks very good english as well. The rooms are small but have a great shower with hot water. They serve a simple but nice breakfast and on the roof you have a great view over Cuzco city.'

'This is an ideal place for a family. The house is very well designed, and Mary was a wonderful host. We stayed for only one night, as we had an early morning train to catch. Mary was very accommodating and was up at 6 a.m. to serve us breakfast. The only concern we had was that this is a four-level house, and there are no elevators. If you are booked on the top floor, you will need to haul your luggage all the way up, which was not an easy task for us. It might be helpful for Mary to consider...

'The hotel staff are its biggest strength — they are friendly, helpful and quick to resolve issues, and deserve recognition from management. But I was very disappointed with the room. The listing photos are misleading. The room condition is subpar and extremely noisy; sounds from hallways and neighbouring rooms travel easily. I could not sleep without earplugs. I wonder why the rating is so high. Aside from the great staff, I have reservations about the rest of the property.'
