'We had an amazing stay a Kalimera Hotel in Placencia honestly one of the best hotels we’ve experienced, and we travel quite a bit. The hotel is small and boutique-style, which makes a huge difference. 'This is a gem of a quiet, accommodation spot with a nice sandy beach, small pool, a good restaurant and nice swimming in the ocean out front. The accommodation huts are perfect, the beds are decent and we felt as if we had our own private resort for some enjoyed R&R. It’s a short drive away from Placencia but well worth it for this experience. Kids loved the pool, paddle boards, hammocks and large beach area. I definitely recommend this place!! '

This made the sleeping arrangements significantly less comfortable than planned which was the entire basis of choosing this particular property; nevertheless we made it work. The room itself was clean upon check-in but we had to request toilet paper everyday because house keeping didn't automatically add new ones...

'I spent nearly a month in Belize, avoiding winter. I chose this location because it was far away from the hustle and bustle of town, but also planned on using the bicycles mentioned in the listing to get around, as taxis are incredibly expensive. No bikes, and they’re not replacing them, so if you need to get to the grocery store it’s about a 30 min walk. I recommend going right when they open at 8am before it gets too hot. 'The kitchen needs a new frying pan. The existing one is in bad shape, hard to cook in and clean. Listing says there are 2 bikes to share, but when we asked mgmt company they said no. The main floor needs chairs, even beach chairs or something to sit in- maybe a bistro set. The place was cute and comfortable. We did not have to use the AC. We rented a golf cart to get around which worked out great. The price was reasonable. More direction on how to access the beach would be helpful since there...
